Good stuff man! I don’t collect as an investment, if the cards lose value they’ll still be worth more than what I paid for them. Im a sucker for mtg binder vids. Lol

Damn skippy. Once every other single human being stops playing, and every other single human being decides to never play magic, the game will be ours. We can finally run those 2-man tournaments we've always dreamt of. Winner take all. Need some Alpha cards? No problem. Pennies on the dollar. I fail to see the negatives here. Thanks again, Shanks!!!!!

I'm of the opinion that even if WotC goes under and no new magic product gets released ever again, Magic: the Gathering is not going to die. I make cubes that are like 99% custom cards. And there is enough of a passionate custom MtG community that new sets would come out even without WotC's involvement. Plenty of games continue after 1st party support ends. For example Nisei is a fan-continuation of the Netrunner game. That's when I got interested in the game, so you doesn't need 1st party support to grow a game. In a similar vain, it would be silly to expect any kind of 1st party support for a game like chess. People are still creating new ways to play chess too. aka Fairy Chess. and the unicorn piece doesn't cost $20 dollars. People will print "proxy" new game pieces for MtG like they have been doing for chess. The reason that MtG is not going to die is because it is a fun game with near limitless design space. And if the rules get in the way of fun, your play group can make a variant. I don't expect this game to die anytime soon.

Shit yeah. I have enough cards I've made to do a whole Mixed-martial-arts BLOCK. And it'd be a banger. Thank you for the amazing feedback and insight into what people don't really see or hear about. That's what's up.

Can't wait for Anger to stumble across some of this nonsense! Thanks for checking some of it out, dude!

You said it best. Even if WotC/Hasbro go belly up, people are still going to play. There's far too much out in the wild for it to ever really "die". It'll slow, but hell, it's like any game, people will still play. I'm ignorant of the hate, because I simply ignore the small yet loud portion that cries about it. Nothing is forcing people to buy these products or cards, if you already own the cards, then go play. Quit whining about pricing, you're not required to buy a single damn thing, even on Arena. Also Georgie my boy, love the Zur deck. I also hate it, because... Zur

A fantastic point I neglected covering, similar to what Morgan said in a sense! WotC is out here breaking records while people say the game is dying. Meanwhile, the parrots act like they are required to purchase every single product and every single bomb. That is simply not the case. It wasn't the case in 1994 and it isn't the case in 2023. People have no self-restraint and with the comments I'm seeing, they also don't possess self-respect. I feel obligated to call it out because the silent majority, such as yourself, do the smart thing and just roll their eyes metaphorically. Do you think one person will view this and maybe not sell their collection? I think so, and hope so, and if so - then this video was worth making. Thank you for the feedback and insights.

In the 90s I would often go to my lgs and we wouldn't have enough for one draft. Nowadays I visit an lgs and it's hard to find parking on commander night, if I'm lucky enough to go. Crazy.
