Awesome. I love Jumpstart and 22. Never opened a box but lots of packs. My daughter and I grab a few packs on the regular and play against each other. Still haven't managed to pull my own personal chase, Ashcoat though! I did buy a few LOTR Jumpstart packs and tbh they aren't too bad.

Hey, thanks for the box opening. I am glad I'll never have an opportunity to step on this land mine. 😬 Jumpstart is a great limited format, but outside of the core Jumpstart sets it's a one box per set kind of thing for me. Not enough variance in MoM, Brothers War, etc boxes, but still worth grabbing one box of when they're sold at steep discount. Like you, they're regularly available in the $30-40 range.

Hehe It was't ideal aye, but there you have a good example of what can happen. Ahh that's why they're significantly less than this product. Makes sense. Looks like they're phasing them out too!

@@CardboardKiwi Yep, the other sets have two versions of 5 themes, and at least in my experience you hit all of them in a single box. The only variance in the packs past that is one of the two rares/mythics. I think that lack luster effort put into them ultimately killed the product. It's a shame.

Isnt the rystic study in a specific theme in the 2022 jumpstart not in all of them?

It can be pulled both in the original and 22, but the 22 version is a different art. There's a chance at pulling it from the Well-Read pack :)

I'm a huge fan of the product but the pull rates are so bad with these. The Plainswalker Myth packs are pretty great, but the drop off after those is huge. Still, love watching someone else blow their money on these instead of me! Thanks for the video!

Jumpstart is fun but I think Arena and commander precons are better, or certainly at least more popular, ways to onboard for new players

Yeah, as much flak as it can get, Arena is probably the best way to get started.

Its almost like they made it as cheap starter decks for new players but just another scratch off lottery ticket for "investors"

This is probably the least careful I've ever seen someone handle cards during an opening, it's like you are stressing so much you can barely keep a hold of the cards, you looked close to dropping the decks multiple times. Please slow down man, even if you DO hit something some time the way you do the openings you'll probably fumble the card so hard you negatively affect the value of it anyways.
