In this video, we open 30 Proxy packs, combine it with other proxy cards from previous packs, sort them and begin to make our first proxy cube! We're aiming for a 720 card cube (48 packs / 15 cards each) and an even distribution between each color. This is only part 1. Part 2 will include adding the supplemental 'real' (lmao) cards to the pool, so that we can get to that arbitrarily large number of 720. Most cubes are 360 cards, or 540. We're going ham. I don't want to have to make new packs for my cube after playing it once, and this allows for that. I sincerely doubt I'll ever host 8+ people, but we can also do that due to the sheer amount of packs we'll have. Neat!
Thank you for watching and for all interactions!

23:40 We had someone in our local commander group like this before they moved away. Every game, if you targeted ANYTHING of theirs at all, you were met with "OH COME ON MAN, SUCH AND SUCH IS THE BIGGER THREAT HERE" as they were actively trying to win the game. This wasn't an indoor voice either, this was bellowing it out, to the point where we had multiple groups playing upstairs and downstairs, and his voice carried throughout the house EVERY TIME someone interacted with his boardstate. It was the most embarassing thing I think I've ever seen while playing this game.

Yup. That's it. There's a lot of them out there, but most people like that know to bottle it up and deal with it later. Some people, who completely lack all forms of self-control, have to act out. They feel like it's the only thing they can do, as it mimics their damaged mind-state. It's hard to be around, embarrassing as hell (for everyone near, not just them) and it alienates all parties involved. Nobody that does this is fun to be around at all, and if you tell them that (or try to address it at all), they take it incredibly personally instead of realizing that their perpetual victim mindset weighs down the whole room. Excuses automatically kick in -- "I'm just competitive" -- No, dude, you're a sore loser and a sore winner, which is completely different. And if they ever *do* win a game, they don't even get to feel good about it. Think about it... Winning is the only option for people like this, so when they win, instead of feeling great, like something special happened, all they can think is "Finally!" or "That's the way it *should* be." It's pathetic. I feel sorry for people that are this damaged, but truthfully, it's not my problem. It's time to grow the F up, folks. Now, if people *do* all target you *all the time* at the table, and if it's *really that bad* -- wouldn't a normal person just find a new group to play with? Someone more on their level? I've seen very similar situations in poker. People that bluff almost every hand eventually get caught with their pants down, and instead of realizing that they're overplaying their 8-4 off, they project it onto the person that was smart enough to call their BS. Most people like this eventually just quit on their own accord after having multiple meltdowns. Thanks for the comment. This isn't fun or easy stuff to talk about, but it's super important.

Thanks for sharing this really fun video. You've become one of my favorite MTG content creators. I hope you can maintain your desire to make this content, I so enjoy hearing you talk about your personal love of Magic. If I lived in Virginia, I think it would be a blast to put some cards down on the table with you and watch them sideways. Cheers friend!

Thank you so much! There will be a part 2, maybe even part 3 of this -- and then a few binder videos.. and then... who knows? I appreciate the support and feedback. I'm ok with not really playing, tbh. I have played so much over the past 30 years... but I'll play again eventually, I'm sure. I could go to my LGS weekly but I don't like leaving mom alone with her condition, so even if I muster up the energy I can't help but worry while I'm there. Just my nature, I suppose. I feel very lucky to entertain you and others, and I feel very grateful and happy when I make these videos. It's a nice escape.

You don't have to throw away the one pile of cards at the end, you could always trade them with people. Scored a good number of proxies off someone once by trading for them specifically. Just cause you can't sell them, doesn't mean they cant be fairly exchanged.

Glitch! Thanks for the subby!! I am definitely throwing away the chaff proxies, bud. But I like your enthusiasm and the fact that you shared! I could always keep them for kindling, but tbh, I don't need the bulk. May offer them to a friend to give to their kids, like I'd said, but that's as far as I'm willing to go. 🤣
