Not that it ended up mattering, but Chronomantic Escape prevents ALL creatures from attacking you, not just creatures from one player.

For anyone that clicks the Kwain list and wonders why the cards are different, the deck changed DRASTICALLY since this game. Stax to reanimator.

Why would you ever not team up against the omniscians player?
@jonmartin2992 жыл бұрын
Kwain is one of the best commander's for flavor, fun, or control. It works really well without stacks pieces.
@gregnanni44092 жыл бұрын
That use of Dovin's veto by Cuzno to counter the Caged Sun felt like a bad play. As soon as omniscience is out, that player becomes archenemy, and you gotta hold onto that veto on for any win condition that players has.

Didnt the barracuda mean that nobody could stop his stuff anyway?
@gregnanni44092 жыл бұрын
@@HappyVtuberFan Still should have saved it for later once barracuda removed, omniscience player becomes arch enemy -- plus omniscience player could have had instant interaction that could have been countered outside of their turn.
@Tuffbunny132 жыл бұрын
@@gregnanni4409 The play felt fine in the moment, rather have the group hug deck stay in the lead than 2 other players when I had a very below average hand/start for that version of the deck. Couz btw.

4:45 Bounce gets you to draw a card. Its the flying that gives the opponent 2 life. (Also, it is Phelddagrif, not Phelddagrift. :P) EDIT: I will never get used to how gorgeous these alter sleeves look. I wonder how much did it cost.

At 12:29, doesn't Render Silent prohibit Couz from casting any more spells that turn?
@ozymandias31102 жыл бұрын
It would prevent Eric from casting spells that turn, because it was Eric's spell that was countered.
@Vektor4802 жыл бұрын
no, it makes it so eric couldn't cast any more spells that turn
@ivernedit2 жыл бұрын
Idk why kwain kept countering stuff that wasn’t from the omniscience player. You always save counters for that. Especially that render silent
@Jonkmanful2 жыл бұрын
That Render Silent countered making an 'you win the game effect' indestructible in the face of a wipe, so it did counter a wincon.

I know your history with Mistform Ultimus, but isn't he just a strictly worse Orvar, the All-Form? The deck is awesome though!
@MTGMuddstah2 жыл бұрын
In a lot of ways, yes. When I was playing Orvar instead of Mistform, I found myself changing a lot of what made Mistform fun for cards that would target permanents to fuel Orvar's ability. This ended up with it becoming a pretty generic Orvar deck which I didn't enjoy.

@Sgt_Bacon1892 жыл бұрын
One thing that bothers me about some of the games you post, is that there is very little interaction with enchantments, artifacts or generally very huge threats on the board. Omniscience was on the board for way too long, as well as the Tidal Barracuda. There are other episodes where the board spirals out of control very early, due to threats not getting answers and the other players being unable to answer these boardstates.

You're correct. It's a pet card of mine in my Vega deck, I love it. I try to time a big play with same time that goes off for I can have some breathing room and not have to leave up mana to protect against anything swinging my way.
