Alliances was the first pack I ever opened. I hit a Force of Will and Balduvian Horde in that pack, and you guys literally opened the exact pack I did at 19 mins in!!!

I remember opening this set as a kid and people being so bummed about Force of Will since it made you exile a card. See, kids... this was before your new-fangled draw spells and cast snapper mages and Denial fairs and... yeah. My bones hurt.

don't remember if I ever bought a box, but certainly opened packs of it, was a poor college student, and by the time I was able to afford boxes I was mainly doing chaos sealed/drafts and snow land synnergies were just bad juju for those. Do know I never pulled FoW from alliances, but I did get 1 or 2 helms and adorred them.

The three R6 cards are the bane of this set for pack opening. (Whirling Catapult, Sol Grail and Urza’s Engine). All three times more common than any other rare, so basically uncommon that eats your rare slot in the pack.
