Buy a case of regular MTG boosters on release -> lose 60% of the money spent, never pull anything exciting because everything is reprinted in 17 different versions and the coolest one is only available in a $400 booster box that only has 180 cards in it. Buy a case of regular (the only variety, actually) FAB boosters on release -> lose maybe 20% of the money spent and often pull a shiny marvel or a legendary that actually excites you. I'm never going back to MTG lol. EDIT: Regarding the game "not taking off in the US". The most recent US National Championship (an invite-only event) had almost 500 players competing for a prize pool of $50k, a black envelope containing an ultra-rare gold foil legendary (that you can only obtain by winning a big event or buying from someone who did), invitation to Worlds and other goodies. It's definitely has some issues in some LGSs, but nothing really stops you from starting a community. I did just that, and we're having regular 10+ player Armouries (it's FaB's equivalent of FNM) for over a year now :)
