MTH TRAINS: A CONRAIL RUN (4 units at the point pulling a huge 'oil can' consist).

Relax and enjoy this last clip with these 4 Conrail Mac's (before it's time to give them a rest and their shelved again). I like the P-2 sound-sets on these things, and I'd note also that this "oil can consist" takes a bit of head-end power (ta get it moving) ... but it's not that terrible AFTER it's rolling a bit / as you'll see.

Most ("well a good many anyway"), quietly criticize me for the "blatant abuse" of my equipment ... what's funny is that same "equipment" NEVER Fails / failed *except* for a nice traction tire / or a beautifully parched smoke unit once in a while ... THOUGHT: I have NEVER ONCE had / nor ever SEEN a mtr. failure even ! / "but when that happens, I'll induct that very engine(s) in the MTH hall-of-fame / and sprinkle the remnants of mostly cooked T/Tires over it grave". I REALLY WONDER just how much an upgrade board costs Zechariah …. They WERE 159.00 / last I purchased 6. I get the “proprietary- stuff”, but your right: “someone could make a real killing”!. 🤩 I see no sense in pouring more salt in the the wound here, but let me tell ya, I could tell you stories and show you some INCREDIBLE paper trails amid ALL The b.s. those a-holes put me through 😤… and what I remember more then anything, was my never EVER asking for any special EVER !. (I will wait just like everything else / my being a “heavy hitter” trumps NO-ONE. 🙏 Fact: All these “tales” ended well (in the end), but as I said (So MANY TIMES), when it all escalated into a full blown “crisis”, Mike Wolf was THERE, and he was the perfect gentleman !. I remember thinking even more, about just what a fine Gentlemen he was !!! …. and THAT was what I never could understand. 🤬 Seriously: you’d NEVER MEET a better guy, amid a resolve that was just unprecedented !, HE ONCE REMARKED: “you sent this item to me 5 times” ? …, LISTEN : “this can’t happen EVER” !, and I’m embarrassed and ASHAMED that it has. *Zechariah, “he went bazerk”!. I also remember thinking; man o’ man; “someone is going to loose their job when he gets back to Columbia Gateway … but alas, nothing EVER changed !. Just CRAZY. 😱 To have MET such a great man impressed me to no end / but the POINT OF THE REMARK is that the “man” counteracts EVERYTHING that (I felt) was the exact OPPOSITE of his philosophy and values !!!. To this day I will never fully understand why the man just (my opinion here) threw it all away !. He was like John Lennon to me too. 😞 thx. for the heartfelt note my good friend. 👀

Good ole pull. Wish the board upgrades were more available. Since the company didn’t officially go under and they’re supposedly smaller now, they SHOULD focus on keeping their stuff running by making parts and boards more available instead of making limited runs of the same ole thing over and over again. Geez you can find enough cheap proto1 and 5 volt p2 builds to upgrade if you made them! Hey why not redesign the system with proto 4 and revive the solidness of 2 three volt with a beefed up amplifier and speaker system to give your main competitor with “the big L” a real run for your money. But all that sounds too Much like right huh hahahaha. Guess we gotta do what we can when we can at this point.

Well thank you that truly means a lot coming from you! I’ve been here since day one for you on KZbin anyway. And yeah I don’t get how Honesty is so hard to come by these days. People are so caught up in their bubbles they refuse to see reality. I’ve also been labeled a downer for calling thing for what it is. Sure I do wanna be happy but when it takes damn near an act of God to get parts for a silly little train…come on that’s not right. To treat such a loyal customer (YOU) so poorly for a repair being LOST…… I can’t be happy about that. And these boards cost Pennie’s to make busy cost US an arm and a leg to get IF we can get them at all?? Nah not being “happy”about that. Look you ca readily get and keep running any old postwar train going. This new stuff should be made with them same thought but lack of boards or constantly making our trains worth as much as a paper weight is not cool. It’s just not. Maybe we should learn how to make and program boards. Then we’d have a new company basically. Call it Zeke and Toms train works cause our stuff always works or is fixable whenever you need it done! That’d be my motto lol. Ah maybe in the next life. Always great to see more from you it’s a bright spot in my day! Catch ya later!

No idea / and [someday] I'll find that out with a nice big 'extendable' tape measure (that can span-out a good bit) to determine same. All I DO know is that "O" Gauge requires a hell of a lot in real-estate, and they'll NEVER be such a thing as "big enough". (Well / "4 me anyway"). Next Life: "I'll try an' remedy that". : - )
