MTH Triplex 2-8-8-8-2, Erie

This video presents a short history of the Triplex prototype, the MTH Triplex (20-3019-1) with Proto Sound 2.0 and a running session. This model was delivered in 2003. I acquired it in October, 2022. The only maintenance I performed was to replace the batting/wick in the smoke unit of the tender and I swapped out the battery for a BCR2 (Capacitor). This version of the Triplex has a 3v motherboard. You'll see it running solo and pulling a coal drag. NOTE: MTH made many HO scale models as well as a RailKing version.
