Great progress Alan, your videos don't really portray just how much work you do. That's okay, you'd never get as much done by trying to film it all. I've been a building contractor who pretty much works alone, for 40 yrs., so I really appreciate the amount of work you do and the skillset to accomplish the task properly. I'm enjoying your projects. As much as I enjoy Sparks and most of his videos, I'd put money on a bet they(his guys) couldn't keep up with you and do the job right.

Your fortress is getting there mate. AWESOME EFFORT/WORK. Dave definitely gave you a nice bit of help so you're smashing through it. Don't burn yourself out mate. I did and know not allowed to work and lost all licence's m/c(multiple combination truck), car, bike, loader, bobcat, fork, ewp, skippers and can never fly helicopter which I had 4 lessons of 100 done. Got epilepsy at age of 37yrs in hot summer when working too hard and body lost heaps of weight. 1st ever seizure drove car off road into powerpole doing about 80km/h. Ripped front of car off but I came out without a scratch due to holding wheel so tight while seizure occurred. I want to see you finish and enjoy your fortress, doesn't matter how long it takes. Avagud1 mate.

At 9minutes: that sky imo looks distinctly 'mackerel'. Usually a strong sign that the weather conditions are going to turn sometime in the next 24hours, usually to rain. Mackerel sky and 'mares tails' ie long wispy clouds curved like a horses tail, boaties recognise those as sure signs it going to rain, get rough, pretty soon. I'd guess you won't see those too often in the high desert.

You need to add some lightning rods on the fortress and around the area. these will prevent lightning strikes on your compound by dissipating any electrical build up from the ground.
