hii song imenikumbusha babangu wa kambo....continue rest in peace Dad ulinisupport kama mtoto wako
@waltermbelwa49735 жыл бұрын
Translation - Mtoto si nguo,utamwomba mtu,literally,A child is not some cloth,which you can borrow someone.Ukikosa wako,utalia sana - When you don't have one of your own,you will shed a lot of tears.The vocals of this song plus the message frightens the mind and touches the soul.Great song.

This song reminds me of my child hood memories when my dad would play all those tapes of George Mukabi, Shem Tube, Fadhili Williams, Fundi Konde, TPOK Jazz etc...They don't produce such music anymore nor did our Government ever recognize these legends of music who died in poverty! What is the name of that guitarist?

This song was recorded in the late 50's or early 60's by George Mukabi. That George Mukabi died in early/mid sixties. He died tragically when he was killed by his in-laws after he had gone to follow up on his wife who had returned back to her parents. This man, Johnstone Mukabi, is the son of that late George Mukabi.

@georgeodhiambo5984 жыл бұрын
What he sings is, "mtoto si nguo, hutaomba mtu" but not "mtoto si nguo, utaomba mtu"! Meaning, a child is not some piece of clothing that you can seek from someone else. It strictly applied in the olden days. It means ukikosa, umekosa, iliyo baki ni kulia. Sio ukikosa uombe mtu ili upate!!

In 3030..the song will still be alive,only that it will be said that the white man was a great composor of his era who composed the song and the old man was his guitarist and translator,...but the white man also arranged the guitar chords and the sort.
