We messaged here earlier. I shared that after less than 18 months my device failed. As I figured, I can foot the bill to finish paying for the procedure that the Urologist told me on 4 occasions would be covered by insurance. No with the failure, I would have to medically foot the bill for removal…..says the rep Quirt Scott, plus if the manufacturer deemed it a malfunction I’d also be responsible for the medical for installation too. With all that said, I’d definitely voted for the injections that my Urologist wasn’t even interested in letting me try.

It seems to me that the Titan Coloplast tip is too sharply pointed, and should be more rounded, to distribute the pressure across a wider area under the glans.

Both tips are similar and both companies have done the same work to make them as physiologic as possible.

What do the implants cost? And does Medicare and other insurance providers cover the implant procedure?

Jerry I can tell you I have yet to get a bill from Medicare for my implant. And it's been 6 weeks. All it cost me was my travel and hotel money.

@@jerrywarter8332 Get it done as fast as you can Jerry. I don't know where you live Jerry but I bet there is a high volume implanter near you. I live in S.E. New Mexico so my choice was to go where ever I wanted. Since I had to fly anyway. I chose Dr. Jonathan Clavell in Houston and boy I'm glad I did!!! Do your own research and pick a Dr. that you have faith in!! But don't wait do it as fast as you can!!! Good luck!!! P.S. Dr Perito is the one who pointed me in Dr. Clavell's direction. That Dr. Perito is one hell of a man!!! I bet he'll do the same for you if you e-mail him and ask!!!

I had the surgery in February. I have Medicare and supplemental Aetna. I ended up paying $44. The surgery was in the high 5 figures

The only way to know for sure is to check with a urologic surgeon, preferably at a dedicated center.
