This scene can be rare because the San Diego Transit's 2001 New Flyer C40LF is on Rte. 150 for SDMTS, a Transit express route.

I really like the red bus paint scheme

1802, 1810 and 1827 are now at the Downtown division for training purposes as 1851 was retired from the fleet.

is some of this footage a little older? Looks like the Gilman Transit Center wasn't even built yet.

Also I'm glad to see you got the 921 on film. Unfortunately all of the buses come in the red scheme and the seats are really uncomfortable. Why don't we ever get the blue and black buses aside from the occasional white with red and blue stripes?

921 is veolia and they don't get the older buses with nice seats.
@uns01ved10 жыл бұрын
Veolia? How does that work?
@uns01ved10 жыл бұрын
Also what do the numbers on the routes mean? Is there a certain reason that they're called route "30" or "41"?
@rendezvous6510 жыл бұрын
Veolia now transdev is a contractor for mts which does various routes such as 921.

No idea why they number routes like that.

What is more interesting is that the rest of the 901 Gillig's except 901 will have a minor but noticeable change. Wonder what could that be? Could it be the brt front end or new wheels. Maybe new branding as mts will be getting a new Web site that could coincide with new or revised branding or perhaps it is an interior and or technological feature. Maybe mts is going back to Allison or switching to voith transmission. Who knows for sure as it is a rumor for now.

Every Gillig Advantage bus except 901 have new white LED destination signs.

TaylortheMaster04 As well as a new interior layout, which has larger Q-Pod ADA areas, as well as perimeter facing seating on the right side of the bus, right behind the Q-Pod.

Love it, especially the parts with the soon to be retired C40LF's.

Glad you enjoyed it. One thing its always easy to spot 1801-class, the same for 1901-class D60LFs, none are in the "red burst" livery except #1813. All are in the paint livery I call "masked bandit", the black band around the front windows, looks to me like bandit mask.

Check out at 6:30, #1871, an Imperial Avenue Division (IAD) C40LF. #1871 is now out-of-service, and is a training bus. Sad!!!

1MTSRider Yea, its a lot more easier and it makes them a bit more unique compared to the other MTS buses. It sorta does look like its wearing a black band around the bus. So after you recorded 1871 in this video, how long did it take to be pulled from service ? Also, I saw a NCTD C40LF, do those guys have the same specs as a 1801's series C40LF, or the other ones ?

1MTSRider Check out at 8:35, #1851, an IAD C40LF that originally operated out of KMD, is also being used as a training bus.

TaylortheMaster04 1857 is also a training bus as I saw one as I was on the 235. The 901 buses out of Kearny Mesa are starting to trickle in as Jake told me that he rode on on route 20.
