Eminem just reminded everyone why he’s a living legend. This 2024 VMAs performance was a brilliant blend of nostalgia and evolution-bringing back the Slim Shady army with 'Houdini' and then hitting us with the emotional weight of 'Somebody Save Me.' It wasn’t just a performance; it was a statement. Eminem continues to prove that he’s not only relevant but still the king of the stage, 24 years after his VMA debut! 🔥
@joeyketcham67354 ай бұрын
I listened to Eminem since he came on scene in the 90’s, it’s incredible how much he has transformed as a person. Not just lyrically through his music, but overcoming his addiction, letting go of the resentment he had towards his mom. He has truly become a better person, and it shows how much he loves his family now. Addiction is a bitch, and when deep into addiction, nobody else matters, even family. He’s truly overcome all of that. I will always love his “old school” music, filled with anger, but truly love the person he’s become and is today. It goes to show, the past doesn’t define who who we are.. there’s always today to change and become the person we want to be. We can’t change the past, but we can control our future. Eminem took control and it shows.

MTV and Eminem has such a good relationship from beginning to now. Eminem turning most of invites down but once it comes to MTV he shows up. That's integrity people. Don't turn back on who helped you
@ticia43284 ай бұрын
Yes but what about him getting his awards on stage or even backstage? There is litteraly nothing showing it, not even a pic. That's not nice for fans how Mtv did this
@virgilijusbernikas16664 ай бұрын
@ticia4328 that's literally Eminems fault for not wanting publicity. If Eminem would allow they would show all his awards publicy to boost their ratings but they can't because Eminem wants to leave ASAP
@ticia43284 ай бұрын
@virgilijusbernikas1666 Even if he wanted to leave after his performance or didn't want to speech in front of the crowd then they could have at least asked him to prerecord a message or something to thank the fans who voted for him. He is not that kind of being ungrateful and have always thanked everyone, his fans and his team. I don't get why now there was literally nothing, not even on his social medias. What was the point of coming then? as if he was a random guest who didn't win anything. Don't get it really
@Spookpool4 ай бұрын
He's always been grateful for MTV playing 'My Name Is' (Which aided his explosive overnight success) and still playing his music videos despite all of the protest, bad press, and drama that was going on back then. Though, I feel he deserved 'Most Iconic Performance' and ESPECIALLY the 'Video Vanguard Award' (LONG OVERDUE!!!), and I feel he should have gotten the awards he did win live (Especially Best Hip-Hop), I understand most of the airtime was taken up by performances. Eminem probably left soon after his performance anyways. MTV/VMAs (They're not perfect) still aren't as scummy as the Grammy's and have contributed, in my opinion, to music culture in a much more in positive way, to give credit where credit is due.
