A lot goes on in the editing process of a lot of shows! For instance in competition shows like where Gordon Ramsey on that cooking show or Dave Navarro on that tattoo show do a count down or explain a process, that’s all pre-filmed. A lot of times they let people work past the challenge time. Also on reality shows they edit things sometimes to make it look like people are feuding and actually behind the scenes encourage the antagonistic contestant to take certain actions that result in a feud for sure. I think the kardashians are the only ones that have complete control over their show although many things are staged for the cameras, which is why I think it made it so successful.
