ABookNerd - yes he does it well but as an Australian myself, I can give you an insight into why this is so. Please search on KZbin for Professor Christopher Clark, the Australian professor of history at Cambridge University. You’ll hear an accent and speed that is similar to Matthew’s voice. Also listen to Charlie Luxton on YT. He’s an Australian architect in the UK who’s made several tv shows. Not many would guess his origin. Ironically, I also suspect there’s a link with the two Aust. tv shows that have had almost cult status in the UK - “Neighbours” and “Home and Away”. After a while many Brits started to make an upwards inflection at the end of their sentences. Teresa Palmer did this during her own interview. Some of us don’t do it at all. Matthew used a few vowel sounds that are shared by Londoners and Australians. Also, many of us are the children or grandchildren of English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh migrants. This is probably why actors from the UK and Australia can do each other’s accents quite well.

He also filmed the movie The Burning Man in 2011 in Australia, so could easily have picked up the accent then. Not too difficult for a Brit to do an Aussie accent. As an Aussie myself, he does a great accent.

Obejrzałam i poczułam obrzydzenie ,żeby zaistnieć grał takie miernoty , widzowie lubią sceny miłosne związane z fabułą filmu , ale nie wszystko odkryte nawet jak jest to przystojny mężczyzna. A Discovery of Witches is such an amazing show! I loved the books so I was skeptical about how they'd portray that in TV. But Teresa Palmar is everything I imagined Diana Bishop to be. Brave, smart, powerful, loving and vulnerable. And Matthew Goode is just the perfect cast for Matthew Clairmont. I had a crush on Declan from leap Year and I have probably watched the movie 12 times, and now I am totally obsessed with De Clermont.

I was adamant about reading the books before the show started and as soon as Matthew came into the chapters, I couldn't believe how perfectly cast Goode was for it. I really do hope it lives up to my hopes for it.

I actually ignored that and started watching it, so now I'm being spoiled all over and I don't care because it's so good! hahahahaha but seriously, I hadn't heard of the books before I getting to know the show and even then I got the impression that things were rushed into u know? Like they were trying to present too many elements at once and didn't quite deepen into any of them... then I started noticing subtle signs and references but I still feel it's rushing. I think it could be better developed, with more details since it's a series, not a movie... well I'm keeping my hopes up and waiting on second season now

@@marcelam8965 The books are laden with details though [especially the second give it's in a time period the author has a PhD in] so I think that they've done a very good job setting it up. It's also likely a costly production so they wanted to get as much established as soon as possible in the limited number of episodes they were allotted. Now that it's been green-lit for another season, I think it'll chill a bit. That said... it's really nice to see how the medium of film has [by not being limited to Diana or Matthew's perspective in the books] built up minor characters into interesting 'established' characters - Domenico, Satu, Em and Sarah. They have depth! Like, Satü's backstory is non-existent in the books, but the series makes her interesting while they make a nod to something you only discover near the end of the trilogy if you read the series first. At the same time though, many things have changed to make room for these changes, and at first I was a little 'Ugh' but they've exceed expectations! I hope you keep enjoying both of them, in their own right!

When I saw the series A discovery of witches I was totally shocked and of course very pleased! He is the PERFECT vampire!! Love the series, was hooked from the first minute!! Watching the first series and episode one was the first time I had heard of Matthew Goode, but I agree he is great, and he looks so different to the character he plays, I will now be searching for other things he has done.

I think part of it is that he is selective with the roles he takes these days--both in terms of content/interest, as well as in terms of filming locations and commitments. He wants to do work that interests him, pays the bills, and allows him to not spend too much time away from his family. I think he There's a lot of politics involved in making it big in the film industry, especially in terms of awards. That said, it is baffling that he has even gotten very few personal nominations. It's mostly been ensemble awards.

As a fan of the books I really love what they’ve done with this adaptation . I feel like they are both the embodiment of the characters how I envisioned them while reading the books. Casting did a terrific job. Also season 2 Kid is very well cast

dobry aktor ale tylko kiedy trafi na dobry scenariusz.Na moje nieszczęście oglądałam Go w jego kiepskich filmach ,mało treści dużo nagości , obrzydziłam sobie tego aktora . Jak można się godzić na granie w takich filmach, momenty są porządane ale muszą się łączyć z fabułą filmu . Dopiero ponownie zaczęłam oglądać w Księdze Czarownic i pokazał coś więcej jak nagie ciało . Mam nadzieję ,że teraz zacznie grać w ambitnych filmach a nie gniotach.
