That does depend on many things, doesent it? I am aware that general living conditions in Libya by all probability in the forseeable future (or maybe ever) will not be as good as it was pre-war, considering that experts says it will take atleast 25 years to rebuild infrastructure and regain political stability - and by that point there is no oil left. Also considering that there is very hard to find examples in history when the new regime was any better than the one they violently upraised on.

@radsted It's an interesting idea. It makes sense that Alqieda members would join in the fight against Gaddafi. I don't think the Libyan people will let the peace be ruled by Alqieda though. It's just not what they are after.
@abdulkarimkipngeno25976 жыл бұрын
There were so many ways to remove a leader, war should never have been an option. So the Gaddafi has fallen. But what has Libya become. When you started the fight, Quran was the melody but as the fight ended you blasted music. Now you know where the curse came from.

Rebel fighter's weren't in control of the aftermath. The governmental authority or lack thereof was. But in 2017, there should be something approaching a stable democracy. However, radicalism seems to be the favored ideology of the anarchy ruling it. Now ISIL is moving back there after their losses in the Levant.

Liberty - thats your ideology, belief and value. Liberty, freedom, justice - consepts that doesent exist in reality, you have crossed into fantasy and idealism when you start to apply abstract consepts like that into reality. I think pretty much everyone but the most fanatical americans would rather have food instead of the illusion of liberty. Expecting people to adopt values they have never heard of or understand and drop their own values you have never heard of or understand, wont happen.

@hanbaal Implying you really care about people he had to kill to remain in power. And you don't get into account that foreign intervention what is going on right now already caused probably ten times more deaths than his regime caused. This war makes no sense by your logic, do you understand that?
