@@user-bi3gf2yf4k We all know that Ali is better than Muawiyah, but the matter was a FITNAH and even the Messenger PBUH had predicted that Al Hassan bin Ali would be a cause of reform between two great groups of Muslims: The Messenger PBUH said: "This son of mine (Hassan) is a Sayyid (chief), & I hope Allah may reconcile two large parties of Muslims by means of him." If Muawiyah was a tyrant, then the reason for that was Hassan bin Ali? who gave him the caliphate and even pledged allegiance to him! Can we say that Hassan was one a supporter of this (tyrant)? You should not carry hatred against any Sahabi because Allah azza wajal has has been pleased with them in the Almighty saying: Al Muhajireen + Al Ansaar + At-tabi'een: (وَالسَّابِقُونَ الْأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي تَحْتَهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ) "And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct - Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment." Allah azza wajal has shown us how to deal with the Companions in his saying: (وَالَّذِينَ جَاؤُوا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالإِيمَانِ وَلا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ ) "And those who came after them say: "Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness, Most Merciful."

@Hammertennisguy Muawiya is a confrimed Jannati bcz the Prophet said "Paradise is granted to the first batch of my followers who will undertake a naval expedition." and Muawiya not only partook in this expedition but he led it as it comes in the narration of Umm Haram. The Prophet also prayed for him to be saved from punishment. So, thats a proof Muawiya is in Jannah. Secondly, the Prophet said "A person will be with whom he loves" There are several things that show Muawiya loved the prophet, such as he always respected the belongings of the Prophet such as his blanket and he asked to be buried with some of the hair of the Prophet. Muawiya only respected and honored these belongings of the Prophet out of his love for the Prophet. If he hated the Prophet, he wouldnt show respect for the Prophets belongings. A narration that shows he loves the prophet is this one: AIsha narrated (ra): Hind bint 'Utba came and said, "O Allah's Messenger! (Before I embraced Islam) there was no family on the surface of the earth I wished to see in degradation more than I did your family, but today there is no family on the surface of the earth I wish to see honored more than I did yours." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I THOUGHT SIMILARLY, by Him in whose Hand my soul is!" When the Prophet said and I thought similarly, he clearly meant that wished honor for Hind and her family, which includes her son Muawiya. So not only did Muawiya love the Prophet, the Prophet love him and his family once they accepted Islam. Since the loved each other, they will be with each other in the Hereafter.

Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr, Abdullah bin Umar, Abdullah bin Zubair and Husain bin Ali expressed great resentment for the selection of Yazid as Khalifah. You should also mention that those people were the only ones to object to Yazid when Muawiyah ra visited Makkah and Madina. Everyone else in Arabia and the shaam region approved of Yazid and that is why Muawiyah ra did not feel like he has done something wrong.

Wasimuddin Syed I’m a proud Sunni Muslim and I’m all for unity. I despise the Shia that curse Abu Bakr, Umar and Aisha RA etc and I consider it Shirk when they make Du’a to Ali RA and his descendants RA. Those Shia that do not do these things which I feel are most of them, I consider them my brothers. Just a side point, those extreme Sufis (tiny minority) that make Du’a to the Prophet Muhammad SAW and other Saints and give him divine God-like attributes are committing Shirk also. Now onto the real issue, Mu’awiya RA is a Sahabi so we just say RA and understand that he is forgiven. He was a King and was a great conquerer for Islam. However, I genuinely DESPISE Yazid and have no respect or admiration for what he did to Hussain RA and Zainab bint Ali. We cannot say what will happen on the Day of Judgement however, if I had to choose between Ali and Mu’awiya of course I choose Ali RA. There is no comparison. The Prophet Muhammad SAW’s companion like Harun AS was to Musa AS. The flag-bearer. The wielder of Zulfiqar. The husband of Fatima and father of Hassan and Hussain. If I had to choose between Hussain and Yazid, I of course choose the Ahlul-Bayt. Like I said, I’m a Sunni and have the upmost respect for all the Sahaba but we have to speak the truth. No doubt we love the Ahlul-Bayt more than a dynasty even though we respect the dynasty also. Allah knows best and may he unite this Ummah.

On that, Habib bin Masalama said (to Ibn `Umar), Why don't you reply to him (i.e. Muawiya)? `Abdullah bin `Umar said, I untied my garment that was going round my back and legs while I was sitting and was about to say, 'He who fought against you and against your father for the sake of Islam, is more rightful to be a Caliph,' but I was afraid that my statement might produce differences amongst the people and cause bloodshed, and my statement might be interpreted not as I intended. (So I kept quiet) remembering what Allah has prepared in the Gardens of Paradise (for those who are patient and prefer the Hereafter to this worldly life). Habib said, You did what kept you safe and secure (i.e. you were wise in doing so).SAHIH BUKHARI HADITH NO. 4108

If what is said in the video is true, then do you not find it wrong that Muawiya RA did not find it important to consult those 5 individuals on why they don't want Yazid to be the Khalifah? Those 5 individuals were among the most noble companions. Also, what was not discussed in the video is that Hassan ibn Ali RA had made an agreement with Muawiya RA that after his Khilafah is over then Hassan will be Khalifah and then Hussain ibn Ali. Just because Hassan ibn Ali RA past away, the deal was broken...Nevertheless, we will never know what is 100% correct. All we know for sure is that he was a Sahaba, and Allah has blessed them all.

I am not a shia and come to think of it I am not a sunni or a wahabi and just a Muslim. I also believe actions are judged by intentions. Any human who has lived on earth is accountable in front of the The Most High even the sahaba. I also believe Allah is the best judge but when we make dua at the end of the prayers we say please forgive our sins intentional and unintentional. Some actions we think as not being sins but they are does not make them unanswerable. Though we humans should not fight each other for actions of others we can and should hold an opinion for it is our right and a sign of a healthy mind. I believe and I cannot express this enough that this is only my own opinion which I have a right to make that an action by this sahaba eventually caused severe consequences to the family of the Prophet and speaking as a descendant I have been deeply hurt. May Allah protect us all and may Allah reward us all in the hereafter. But I will never disrespect the sahaba to the extent to curse anyone to hell for hell is the worst place and this man was a sahaba. May Allah protect him from it as well as the family of the Prophet like the Prophet of himself is of the greatest character ever seen by the world and I have no doubt they have already forgiven him. ☺️

Zirr reported, 'Ali observed: By Him Who split up the seed and created something living, the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) gave me a promise that no one but a believer would love me, and none but a hypocrite would nurse grudge against me. حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ وَالَّذِي فَلَقَ الْحَبَّةَ وَبَرَأَ النَّسَمَةَ إِنَّهُ لَعَهْدُ النَّبِيِّ الأُمِّيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَىَّ أَنْ لاَ يحبني إلا مؤمن ولا يبغضني إلا منافق ‏.‏ Sahih Muslim 78 It has been further narrated, and this narration is Sahih in Jami' at-Tirmidhi) that Mu'awiyah (who initiated the tradition of cursing Imam 'Ali, peace be upon him) said: ''Ya ibn Abi Waqqas, what has prevented you from insulting Abu Turab (i.e. 'Ali)?'' whereupon ibn Abi Waqqas said: 'Three things that I remember from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prevent me from reviling him. That I should have even one those things is more beloved to me than red camels. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) speaking to 'Ali, and he had left him behind in one of his battles. So 'Ali said to him: "O Messenger of Allah! You leave me behind with women and children?" So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: "Are you not pleased that you should be in the position with me that Harun was with Musa? Except that there is no Prophethood after me?" And on the Day of (the battle of) Khaibar, I heard him saying: "I shall give the banner to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and Allah and His Messenger love him." So we all waited for that, then he said: "Call 'Ali for me." He said: 'So he came to him, and he had been suffering from Ramad (an eye condition), so he (ﷺ) put spittle in his eye and gave the banner to him, then Allah granted him victory. And when this Ayah was revealed: 'Let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women...' (3:61) the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called 'Ali, Fatimah, Hasan, and Husain and said: "O Allah, these are my family." Mu'awiyah further waged war against a man about whom the Prophet (pbuh) said: ''For whomever I am his Mawla, then 'Ali is his Mawla!''. Source: Jami' at-Tirmidhi, graded Saheeh by Darussalaam. You don't have to be a Shi'a to use your brains and not fall for the propaganda by this channel in favour of Mu'awiyyah, the person who violated the treaty with Hasan by appointing the drunkard son Yazeed as the Caliph. “And there are those of them who made a covenant with Allah: If He gives us out of His grace we will certainly give alms and we will certainly be of the good. But when He gave them out of His grace, they become niggardly of it and they turned back and they withdrew. So He made hypocrisy to follow as a consequence into their hearts till the day when they shall meet Him because they failed to perform towards Allah what they had promised Him and because they told lies.” (Surah at-Tawba 9:75-77)

Mu'awiya said: `Bin `Abbas, that is enough! Hold back your tongue! If it is necessary for you to do that, then that should be secret. Do not make anyone hear it openly.' Then Mu'awiya came back home. In all cities the tribulation became intense against 'Ali's Shi'a and his household. Kufa was liable to intense persecutions, for it had many Shi'a. He appointed Ziyad as a governor over it. He (Mu'awiya) gathered the Iraqis for him (Ziyad). He (Ziyad) followed the Shi'a. He was acquainted with their condition, for he was among them. So he killed them everywhere. He whipped and frightened them, cut off their hands and legs, hanged them on the trunks of the date palms, knocked out their eyes, dismissed them, and made them homeless. Mu'awiya wrote to his judges and his governors in the cities to prevent them from accepting the witness of those Shi'a who narrated his ('Ali's) outstanding merits and spread his laudable deeds. He (i.e., Mu'awiya) wrote to his governors: Look for the Shi`a of `Uthman, who narrate his qualities and talk about his laudable deeds, so honor them. Write to me the full name of the person who narrates about `Uthman. Then he sent them gifts and clothes. He gave the Arabs and the non- Arab supporters many country estates. So they became many and competed with each other for the houses and the country estates. For this reason they became rich. Then he (i.e., Mu'awiya) wrote to his governors: Indeed the traditions concerning `Uthman have become numerous. So when this letter of mine comes to you, then summon them (i.e., the Arabs and non-Arab supporters) to report traditions about Abu Bakr and `Umar. So every judge or emir read Mu'awiya's letter to the people. "Then he (i.e., Mu'awiya) wrote a letter in which he collected all what was reported concerning Abu Bakr and `Uthman. Then he sent the letter to his governors and ordered them to read it on the pulpits, in every city, and at every mosque. Also he ordered them to send the letter to the teachers of the schools to teach it to their boys to narrate it and learn it as they learned the Qur'an. Moreover, they taught the letter to their daughters, their wives, and their servants. Then Mu'awiya wrote one copy (i.e., a letter) (to his governors):`When you prove that someone loves 'Ali and his household, then omit him from the register.' Then he wrote another letter: `Whomever you accuse and do not prove (his innocence), then kill him.' So they killed the Shi'a of 'Ali everywhere because of accusation, doubt, and suspicion to the extent that the man (of them) was beheaded because of a certain word. Mu'awiya made the situation very dangerous. The followers of the Umayyads increased in number. They fabricated many traditions. So the people followed them and learned traditions from them only. The most dangerous of all people in that were the hypocrite readers (of the Qur'an) who affected sadness, piety, and asceticism while they told lies to find (an important position) with their rulers and to obtain, through that, money, country estates, and houses. Some people thought that their traditions were true, so they learned them, narrated them, and taught them (to the people). Also the religious persons who thought that falsehood was illegal learned (their traditions). They accepted the traditions and thought that they were true. If they had known that the traditions were false, they would have not narrated them, nor would have they adopted them. When al-Hasan b. 'Ali, peace be on him, died, the discord and the tribulation became greater and more intense." I (i.e., the author) say: Abu al-Hasan al-Mada'ini has narrated a full text similar to the above- mentioned one. Ibn Abu al-Hadid has reported the account on his authority in his book called (`Sharh Nahj al-Balagha, vol. 3, pp. 15- 16). He (i.e., Abu al-Hasan al-Mada'ini) has said at the end of the account: "The situation went on that manner till al-Hasan b. 'Ali, peace be on him, died. So the tribulation and the discord increased so that everybody of this kind (i.e., of 'Ali's Shi'a and his household) were afraid of killing or homelessness in the earth." The comparison between the conditions of the two sides (i.e., al Hasan and Mu'awiya) accepts this method of the events, and the historical coordination in the succession of the events confirms it. The things the other historians omitted do not harm this method, for they, and we forgive them, wrote for the standing policy or at least for what did not harm it. We have already mentioned that al-Tabari and al-Mas'udi have briefly referred to that. According to this, the sources of this matter are: Sulaym b. Qays, al-Mada'ini, b. Abu al-Hadid, al-Tabari, and al Mas'udi.

Abi Sufyan appointed Sa'd as the Governor and said: What prevents you from abusing Abu Turab (Hadrat 'Ali), whereupon be said: It is because of three things which I remember Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said about him that I would not abuse him and even if I find one of those three things for me, it would be more dear to me than the red camels. I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) say about 'Ali as he left him behind in one of his campaigns (that was Tabuk). 'Ali said to him: Allah's Messenger, you leave me behind along with women and children. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to him: Aren't you satisfied with being unto me what Aaron was unto Moses but with this exception that there is no prophethood after me. And I (also) heard him say on the Day of Khaibar: I would certainly give this standard to a person who loves Allah and his Messenger, and Allah and his Messenger love him too. He (the narrator) said: We had been anxiously waiting for it, when he (the Holy Prophet) said: Call 'Ali. He was called and his eyes were inflamed. He applied saliva to his eyes and handed over the standard to him, and Allah gave him victory. (The third occasion is this) when the (following) verse was revealed: "Let us summon our children and your children." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) called 'Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Husain and said: O Allah, they are my family.

He has prepared for them Gardens beneath which rivers flow; therein they will abide forever. That is the supreme triumph. وَمِمَّنۡ حَوۡلَـكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَعۡرَابِ مُنٰفِقُوۡنَ​​ ۛؕ وَمِنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡمَدِيۡنَةِ​ ​ ​ۛمَرَدُوۡا عَلَى النِّفَاقِلَا تَعۡلَمُهُمۡ ​ؕ نَحۡنُ نَـعۡلَمُهُمۡ​ ؕ سَنُعَذِّبُهُمۡ مَّرَّتَيۡنِ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّوۡنَ اِلٰى عَذَابٍ عَظِيۡمٍ​ ۚ‏  [9:101] As for the bedouin Arabs around you, some are hypocrites; and so are some of the people of Madinah who have become inured to hypocrisy. You do not know them, but We know them.97 We will inflict double chastisement on them,98 and then they shall be returned to an awesome suffering. 97. They had become so expert in the art of hiding their hypocrisy that even the Prophet (peace be upon him) could not recognize them, though he possessed immense sagacity and insight into human nature; so Allah informed him about them. 98. This double chastisement will be the loss of their worldly advantages and the victory of the Islamic mission in the teeth of their opposition. Thus one chastisement shall be the loss of their worldly benefits for which they practiced deceptions and adopted hypocritical attitudes, and instead of gaining wealth, honor and prestige they shall meet with disgrace and utter failure. The second chastisement will be in the shape of the victory of the Islamic mission to defeat which they exerted their utmost by their machinations and plots. But the Islamic mission will come out successful in the teeth of their evil wishes, desires, intentions and vicious efforts and they themselves shall witness its victory to their utter despair, regret, grief and sorrow. وَاٰخَرُوۡنَ اعۡتَرَفُوۡا بِذُنُوۡبِهِمۡ خَلَطُوۡا عَمَلًا صَالِحًـا وَّاٰخَرَ سَيِّئًا ؕ عَسَى اللّٰهُ اَنۡ يَّتُوۡبَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ​ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ‏   [9:102] There are others who have confessed their faults. They intermixed their good deeds with evil. It is likely that Allah will turn to them in mercy, for Allah is All- Forgiving, Ever Merciful

TRANSLATION: Narrated Abu Sarihah, or Zaid bin Arqam - Shu'bah had doubt: from the Prophet (ﷺ): For whomever I am his Mawla then 'Ali is his Mawla.

Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) made a very special speech and gathered all of the people going past (Event of Ghadir Khumm). People were gathered and he waited till everyone was there so that nobody misses it. People had to wait for a long time and later on one of the things he said Imam ali was "Anyone who has me as his mawla, has Ali as his mawla" (the word mawla has like 20 meanings and sunnis acknowledged every meaning of the word EXCEPT the synonymous word "Leader"). After this event (Event of Ghadir Khumm) the last verse of the Quran, which is the third verse of Al-Ma'idah (the fifth chapter of the Quran), was then revealed: "This day I have perfected your Religion for you: Completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your Religion" How can anyone deny this? I converted from Christianity to Sunni Islam and later on to Shia Islam. I believe why there are so many sunnis out there is because it's like all the religions; whatever your household is then you automatically stick to it. But when you really seek the truth you always end up doing a lot of research, and that Imam ali is the Imam is always there right infront of you if you do your research. I believe many sunnis are in Denial. Before I became Shia, I asked sheikhs this simple question and they made fun of that hadith etc. They saw it more as a threat and a war thing between then rather than against them. In Sunni mosques at first I thought shia's was evil since that's what they taught us in their speeches. When I was at shia mosques they never attacked the sunni people themselves, but they talked bad about the caliphes. I got angry at first but later on realised that they were not talking bad about them but rather as traitors who have made a bad reputation to islam. The more I learned about Umar, Abu Bakr, Uthman, Aisha etc the more I realised that they don't have the manners or behavior or thinking like the prophet Mohammed at all. Very many sunni hadiths are very controversial and are against the teachings of Islam. In shia from Imam sadiq there is a famous sahih hadith that says that whatever hadith is against what the Quran says is invalid. There are many hadiths in Al-Bukhari that actually makes prophet Mohammed look bad or even "stupid" (Astaghfarallah) and people still follow that book. How do you accept a book portrait your prophet like that?? There are hadiths how Aisha treated Prophet Mohammed when he was talking to the sister of his passed away wife Khadija. In a very disgusting way. All you need to do is dig deep for the truth. For every 1000 people, 999 people will enter hellfire and only 1 human will enter the paradise. That's only 0,1% that will enter the paradise.

Asalamu alaikum Sahabi: "A person who believed in the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), met him and died as a Muslim." This is the definition about which Ibn Hajar said,"the truest knowledge that I was able to get".(9) The ulama say Ali (ra) was on the truth. And that muawiyah (ra) did ijtihad but got it wrong. He strived for the truth but got it wrong. But it doesn't mean we talk bad about muawiyah (ra). Muawiyah (ra) is better than all of us. He has many virutes. But just the virtue of being a companion is enough to be better than every Muslim who's not a sahabi. Because the companions of the messenger of Allah (sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) are on another level compared to us. The prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) said that the best generation is mine and then the next and then the next. In another hadith the prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) said I enjoin you to follow my companions and then those who come after them and then those who come after them. These are 3 generations. These 3 generations are called the salaf. They are the best of the ummah and the most knowledgeable. We take our Deen from them. Going back to the sahaba, Allah praises the sahaba multiple times in the Quran. He praises the muhajirun and ansar.

Miqdam then divided it among his companions, and the man of Banu Asad did not give anything to anyone from the property he received. When Muawiyah was informed about it, he said: Al-Miqdam is a generous man; he has an open hand (for generosity). The man of Banu Asad withholds his things in a good manner. @@graphicunit yes even the Prophet (SAW) can say or follow the custom/tradition of people whether it be style of speech, clothes, food etc. For example, one time an old woman came to Prophet (SAW) and asked him to make dua for her for Jannah. Prophet (SAW) jokingly said old people do not go to Jannah. That doesn't mean the Prophet (SAW) lied infact it was a permissible joke which he later clarified (as in this case). Somethings have exception for normal people and Prophets as well.

As a Sunni, my personal opinion is we don’t curse Muawiyah but I don’t feel he should be praised or have (RA) written after his name. The person who broke the sunnah & appointed his son as Caliph, the person who fought against Ali (ra), the person who started the custom of cursing Ali (ra) from the pulpit every Friday which lasted about 60 years, etc. So, while he shouldn’t be cursed, he shouldn’t be overly praised either. His judgment is with Allah (swt).

I don't find it funny that some people in the comments section decide to still dwell on history. The prophet (saw) said that there will be 73 sects in my religion, 1 more than that of the Christians, and only one will be granted jannah. The one who follows the Quraan and his Sunnah. So why are people fighting against each other about Sunnism, Wahabism, Shiite and Sufism. Isn't it clear by this hadith that the Kalimah should unite us all and our law should be The Quraan Al-Karim rather than the opinion of some scholars? How, then, can they be compared to the Kalimatullah Quraan? And mind you, Muawiyah was a companion of the prophet (saw) so let us not call him a pig and pass judgement hastily. You described many great things about Muawavya(R.A) and that he was a sahabi and we cannot judge him...And you quoted that an alim said that "who are you to choose between ali(RA) and muawvya it's none of your business, it's your lords who will decide" but I as a muslim want examples and inspiration from the Sahabas in these tough times, to never give up, and in that I choose Ali, everytime. And you only mentioned that he started the inheritance of the khilafa but why didn't you mention the lifestyle that Muavwya(RA) hence forth becoming the Khalifa and his clashes with Ali(RA). And he was a very tough ruler so no wonder people did not oppose him when he pitched his son to be the Khalifa cause everyone was afraid, and you also know it to be obvious may be you wont accept it. Ibn Khalakan records: ولما كتب مروان إلى معاوية بشكاته كتب إليه أن أقبل المطي إلى بخبر الحسن ولما بلغه موته سمع تكبيرا من الحضر فكبر أهل الشام لذلك التكبير فقالت فاختة زوجة معاوية أقر الله عينك يا أمير المؤمنين ما الذي كبرت له ؟ قال مات الحسن When Marwan wrote a complaint to Muawyia, he mentioned that he has been informed that Hassan had passed away. When Muawiya heard the news, he did Takbir and the people of Khadra area performed Takbir too and so did the people Shaam. Thus Fathkita, Muwayia’s wife said: ‘O commander of believers, may Allah please you, for what you did Takbir?’ He replied: ‘Hassan has died’. Abdul Aziz mistakes or killing the grandson of the prophet . He broke the treaty of Imam Hasan and unfairly gave the caliph to Yazid!! Is that fair? Yazid”s horses trampled an already mangled body of Aba Abd Allah. We all are Muslims and have a common point. Don’t you love the family of the prophet? Do you think he should be a “Sahaba” if he prayed while drunk! It seems like some of the people in Islam have more respect for this “sahaba if you like to say” then the grandson himself!! Sahih Bukhari 447 When 'Ammar bin Yasser was killed, 'Amr bin Hazm went to Amr bin 'Aas and informed him that Ammar had been killed. The Messenger of Allah (sws) said that a rebel group would kill Ammar. Upon hearing this, Amr bin 'Aas was confused and he reached to Mu'awiyah while he (Amr) was reading *Inna lillahi wa Inna ilaihi raji'on. (Indeed We belong to Allah and Indeed to Him we will return)* He said that Ammar has been killed. Muawiya said: Ammar was killed, so what? Amr said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say that a rebel group would kill Ammar. Upon hearing this, Mu'awiyah said to them: 'Trap in your urine, have we killed him? He was killed by Ali and his companions, they brought him between our spears or swords. Musnad Ahmed 12347 Khalid said: Miqdam ibn Madikarib and a man of Banu Asad from the people of Qinnisrin went to Muawiyah ibn Abu Sufyan. Muawiyah said to Miqdam: Do you know that Hasan ibn Ali has died? Miqdam recited the Quranic verse *We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.* Muawiya asked him: Do you think it a calamity? He replied: Why should I not consider it a calamity when it is a fact that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ‌used to take him on his lap, saying: This belongs to me and Husayn belongs to Ali? The man of Banu Asad said: (He was) a live coal which Allah has extinguished. Al-Miqdam said: Today I shall continue to make you angry and make you hear what you dislike. He then said: Muawiyah, if I speak the truth, declare me true, and if I tell a lie, declare me false. He said: Do so. He said: I adjure you by Allah, did you hear the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbidding use to wear gold? He replied: Yes. He said: I adjure you by Allah, do you know that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم prohibited the wearing of silk? He replied: Yes. He said: I adjure you by Allah, do you know that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم prohibited the wearing of the skins of beasts of prey and riding on them? He said: Yes. He said: I swear by Allah, I saw all this in your house, O Muawiyah. Muawiyah said: I know that I cannot be saved from you, O Miqdam. Khalid said: Muawiyah then ordered to give him what he did not order to give to his two companions, and gave a stipend of two hundred (dirhams) to his son. Miqdam then divided it among his companions, and the man of Banu Asad did not give anything to anyone from the property he received. When Muawiyah was informed about it, he said: Al-Miqdam is a generous man; he has an open hand (for generosity). The man of Banu Asad withholds his things in a good manner. @@namra6793 Ibn Baṭṭāl al-Mālikī - may Allāh have mercy upon him - commented in his Sharḥ Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī (2/98-99): قوله: {يدعوهم إلى الجنة ويدعونه إلى النار} ، إنما يصح ذلك في الخوارج الذين بعث إليهم علىّ عمارًا ليدعوهم إلى الجماعة ، وليس يصح في أحد من الصحابة؛ لأنه لا يجوز لأحد من المسلمين أن يتأول عليهم إلا أفضل التأويل ؛ لأنهم أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الذين أثنى الله عليهم وشهد لهم بالفضل ، فقال تعالى: {كنتم خير أمةٍ أخرجت للناس} (سورة آل عمران 110) .قال المفسرون : هم أصحاب رسول الله، وقد صح أن عمارًا بعثه علىّ إلى الخوارج يدعوهم إلى الجماعة التي فيها العصمة . The words: “he will be calling them to Paradise and they will be calling him to the Fire,” can only be correctly applied to the Khawārij to whom ‘Alī sent ‘Ammār to call them to join the jamā‘ah; they cannot be correctly applied to any of the Companions, because it is not possible for any of the Muslims to interpret any of their actions except in the best manner, because they were the companions of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, whom the Exalted praised and testified to their virtue, and said: “You are the best of peoples ever sent to mankind.” [Sūrat Āl ‘Imrān 3:110]. The mufassirīn (exegetical scholars of Qur‘ān) said: This refers to the Companions of the Messenger of Allāh. It is authentically narrated that ‘Alī sent ‘Ammār to the Khawārij to call them to join the jamā‘ah, with whom there is protection from error. -End quote Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah - may Allāh have mercy upon him - said in Majmū’ al-Fatāwa (25/305-306): فَبَيَّنَ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى أَنَّهُمْ مَعَ الِاقْتِتَالِ ، وَبَغْيِ بَعْضِهِمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ : مُؤْمِنُونَ إخْوَةٌ ، وَأَمَرَ بِالْإِصْلَاحِ بَيْنَهُمْ ؛ فَإِنْ بَغَتْ إحْدَاهُمَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ : قُوتِلَتْ الْبَاغِيَةُ ، وَلَمْ يَأْمُرْ بِالِاقْتِتَالِ ابْتِدَاءً. وَأَخْبَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ الطَّائِفَةَ الْمَارِقَةَ [ الخوارج ] : يَقْتُلُهَا أَدْنَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ إلَى الْحَقِّ ، فَكَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ هُمْ الَّذِينَ قَاتَلُوهُمْ . فَدَلَّ كَلَامُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَنَّهُمْ أَدْنَى إلَى الْحَقِّ مِنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ ، مَعَ إيمَانِ الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ . Allāh - glorified be He and exalted - explains that despite their fighting and transgression against one another, they are still believers and brothers, and He enjoined reconciling between them. But if one of them transgresses after that, then the transgressing group is to be fought, but He did not enjoin fighting from the outset. The Prophet ﷺ stated that the groups that would pass out of the faith [the Khawārij] would be killed by the closer of the two groups to the truth, and ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib and those who were with him were the ones who fought them. The words of the Prophet ﷺ indicate that they were closer to the truth than Mu‘āwiyah and those who were with him, although both groups were believers. -End quote The Khawārij infiltrated both the army of ‘Alī and the army of Mu‘āwiyah. While both armies fought, Mu‘āwiyah ordered his soldiers to avoid ‘Ammār, however, the khawārij killed him by first poisoning him and then striking him with the sword. Mu‘āwiyah is free from the blood of ‘Ammār; and he was wrong in his ijtihād to demand vengeance for the blood of ‘Uthmān before pledging allegiance to ‘Alī, while ‘Alī insisted that he pledges allegiance before avenging the blood of ‘Uthmān. Imām adh-Dhahabī - may Allāh have mercy upon him - wrote in his Siyar A‘lām an-Nubalā’ (3/140): جَاءَ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الخَوْلاَنِيُّ وَأُنَاسٌ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَقَالُوا: أَنْتَ تُنَازِعُ عَلِيّاً، أَمْ أَنْتَ مِثْلُهُ؟ فَقَالَ: لاَ وَاللهِ، إِنِّيْ لأَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ أَفْضَلُ مِنِّي، وَأَحَقُّ بِالأَمْرِ مِنِّي، وَلَكِنْ أَلَسْتُم تَعْلَمُوْنَ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ قُتِلَ مَظْلُوْماً، وَأَنَا ابْنُ عَمِّهِ، وَالطَّالِبُ بِدَمِهِ، فَائْتُوْهُ، فَقُوْلُوا لَهُ، فَلْيَدْفَعْ إِلَيَّ قَتَلَةَ عُثْمَانَ، وَأُسْلِمَ لَهُ. Abū Muslim al-Khawlānī and the people went to Mu‘āwiyah and asked him: “Do you dispute with ‘Alī or are you equal to him? Mu‘āwiyah said: “No, by Allāh, I know he is better me, and he has more right to leadership, but do not you know that ’Uthmān was killed though he was innocent? And I am his cousin and the seeker of his revenge. Therefore, go to ‘Alī and tell him to send me the murderers of ‘Uthmān, then I will obey him.” -End quote Ibn Ḥajar al-‘Asqalānī said: سند جيد (a good chain) in his Fatḥ al-Bārī (13/92). It was also reported by Ibn ‘Asākir in his Tārīkh Dimashq (59/132) Look at the humility of Mu‘āwiyah! Imām Mālik narrated in his al-Muwaṭṭa (1422) from Yaḥyā ibn Sa‘īd from Sa‘īd ibn al-Musayyib: أَنَّ رَجُلاً، مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ - يُقَالُ لَهُ ابْنُ خَيْبَرِيٍّ - وَجَدَ مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ رَجُلاً فَقَتَلَهُ أَوْ قَتَلَهُمَا مَعًا فَأَشْكَلَ عَلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ الْقَضَاءُ فِيهِ فَكَتَبَ إِلَى أَبِي مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيِّ يَسْأَلُ لَهُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَسَأَلَ أَبُو مُوسَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَلِيٌّ إِنَّ هَذَا الشَّىْءَ مَا هُوَ بِأَرْضِي عَزَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ لَتُخْبِرَنِّي ‏.‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو مُوسَى كَتَبَ إِلَىَّ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ أَنَا أَبُو حَسَنٍ إِنْ لَمْ يَأْتِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَلْيُعْطَ بِرُمَّتِهِ ‏.‏ A man from the people of Syria called - Ibn Khaybarī - found a man with his wife and killed him, or killed them both. Mu‘āwiyah ibn Abī Sufyān found it difficult to make a decision and he wrote to Abū Mūsā al-Ash‘arī to ask ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib for him about that. So Abū Mūsā asked ‘Ali ibn Abī Ṭālib and ‘AIī said to him: ”Is this thing in my land? I adjure you, you must tell me.” Abū Mūsā explained to him how Mu‘āwiyah ibn Abī Sufyān had written him to ask ‘Alī about it. ‘Alī said: “I am Abū Ḥassan. If he does not bring four witnesses, then let him be completely handed over.” -End quote Ibn Abī Dunyā reported with a good chain in his Maqtal ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib (104) that when news of the death of ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib reached Mu‘āwiyah, he said: إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون ماذا فقدوا من العلم والخير والفضل والفقه قالت امرأته بالأمس تطعن في عينيه وتسترجع اليوم عليه قال ويلك لا تدرين ما فقدنا من علمه وفضله وسوابقه. “To Allāh we belong and to Him we shall return. They have lost a great amount of knowledge, virtue, and understanding.” His wife said: “Yesterday you were criticizing him (i.e. for refusing to hand over the murderers of ‘Uthmān before pledging allegiance) and now you praise him?” He said: “Woe to you! you have no idea what they've lost from his knowledge and virtue and early accomplishments.” -End quote رضي اللَّه عنهما !! As for the shubahāt you tried to bring by citing reports without their classification or grading, this not accepted from the get-go. Imām an-Nawawī - may Allāh have mercy upon him - said in his al-Majmū‘ Sharḥ al-Muhadhab (1/98): قال العلماء : الحديث ثلاثة أقسام , صحيح , وحسن , وضعيف . قالوا : وإنما يجوز الاحتجاج من الحديث في الأحكام بالحديث الصحيح أو الحسن ، فأما الضعيف فلا يجوز الاحتجاج به... The scholars said: Ḥadīth are of three types: ṣaḥīḥ (authentic), ḥasan (good) and ḍa‘īf (weak). They said: It is only permissible to quote as evidence concerning those aḥādīth which are ṣaḥīḥ (authentic) or ḥasan (good). As for those which are ḍa‘īf (weak), it is not permissible to quote them as evidence...” -End quote

Each one claimed that he has killed Ammar. Abdullah bin Amr said: Let each of you rejoice in your deeds. I have heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) saying that the rebel group will kill him. After hearing this hadith from him, Mu'awiyah said: If this is the case, then why do you support us? He replied: My father had complained to Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about me. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: As long as your father is alive, obey him. Because of this hadith, I am with you, but I still do not take part in the battle. Musnad Ahmed 11818 So we know from hadiths that Ali was on right path but Mu'awiyah was wrong.

Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah - may Allāh have mercy upon him - said in his Majmū‘ al-Fatāwa (1/250): ولا يجوز أن يعتمد في الشريعة على الأحاديث الضعيفة التي ليست صحيحة ولا حسنة. “It is *not* *permissible* *to* *rely* *on* *weak* *aḥādeeth* that are neither ṣaḥīḥ nor ḥasan.” -End quote Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah - may Allāh have mercy upon him - narrated in his I‘lām al-Muwaqqi‘īn (4/179) that ’Abdullāh ibn al-Imām Aḥmad - may Allāh have mercy upon him - said: سألت أبي عن الرجل يكون عنده الكتب المصنفة ، فيها قول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم والصحابة والتابعين ، وليس للرجل بَصَرٌ بالحديث الضعيف المتروك ، ولا الإسناد القوي عن الضعيف ، فيجوز أن يعمل بما شاء ويتخير منها فيفتي به ويعمل به ؟ قال : لا يعمل حتى يسأل ما يؤخذ به منها ، فيكون يعمل على أمر صحيح ، ويسأل عن ذلك أهل العلم I asked my father about a man who has books which contain the words of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and the Ṣaḥābah and the Tābi‘īn, but the man does not know how to recognize ḍa‘īf (weak) and matrūk (rejected) aḥādeeth, and he cannot tell a strong isnād (chain) from a weak one. Is it permissible for him to act upon whatever he wants and to choose reports and issue rulings and act on that basis? He said: “*He* *should* *not* *do* *anything* until he finds out which aḥādeeth are sound and may be acted upon, so that he will be acting upon a sound basis. He should ask the scholars about that.” -End quote خلاص I've already cited many narrations and reports in regards to the virtues of Mu‘āwiyah رضي اللَّه عنه , as well as proving their authenticity and reliability, according to the gradings and classifications of the scholars of Ḥadīth.

I'm just saying that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ already told that Ali will be on right path and Mu'awiyah was wrong when he fought against Ali. And Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that Caliphate will remain for 30 years after him. So Abu Bakr, Umar, Usman, Ali and Hasan ibn Ali were Caliphs which completes those 30 yrs. Muawiyah made his son yazid crown prince in his lifetime which was against the treaty with Hasan ibn Ali. Ammar bin Yasir was martyred in the battle of Siffin. Ammar was with Ali. I'm just telling the errors of Mu'awiyah and I don't claim I'm free from error.

what my main concern is that if 5 of the greatest men in ummah didnt give their bayat to yazid, my heart doesnt agree with the decision of muawiya ra.. Husayn ra, literally the most intelligent and greatest man in ummah during that time. the Grandson of Allah's Messenger (Peace and Blessings upon Him). then , there was Abdullah ibn zubair ra, ibn Abbas ra, Abdullah ibn umar and Abdur Rahman ibn Abu Bakr ra. Just look at these Names.. they were the best and most intelligent of the ummah during the time of muawiya ra.. they were absolute gems.. if they didnt agree, there must have been something wrong and negative about muawiya's ra decision regarding yazid.. did muawiya ra have a proper discussion with these 5 best people in the ummah.. that's my biggest concern.. He should have heard their sides of the story why they didnt agree.. What i sense from this video is that muawiya ra ignored their disagreement and their wisdom.. this is my main fear.. Allah knows best
