This is what Kaiten-Nage is supposed to look like before Ueshiba gave it the flower-power treatment. This, ude-gatame, standing kimura/double wristlock, or a sort of cow-catcher type of movement.

I come from a kungfu back ground and whenever I hit this in grappling class everyone says it's a dick move and also somehow simultaneously that it doesn't really work unless u really snap them down. But now that it's mauy Thai I'm certain people tunes will change.

That's how it works. Those are just people who won't do anything beyond what everyone else does. Has to be some kind of consensus behind the technique or they don't feel confident in it.
