This is hands down my favorite of Shakespeare's play and the best movie adaptaion. I could go on all day!

Excellent rendition of the Shakespeare song. This is how I imagine the song to be when performed in Shakespeare’s day. Very different to modern music, but sweet to the ears of those willing to let the Muses work on their soul.

If you could live at the beautiful estate where this was filmed, would you ever leave?! I would have my mail forwarded, send for my dog and call my boss and say "I quit!" And then I would learn how to grow olives and lose myself during the day in that maze garden with a comfortable chair and my favorite book and a cold glass of cold lemonade. haha
I lost you at lemonade. Wine or Ale would I have said. But hey, good plan for a living if the rest of my lifetime I could spare in that estate.

That the song continues in popularity is testament to, I think, it's lustrous melody but also to the age-old fact that men tend to be unfaithful and that women must overcome by blithely going forward.

Wobrote I don’t know the reason, but my guess is that so Benedick would reflect on what Beatrice might be feeling as to why she “could not tell Benedick” of her feelings and so make the move
