i just have to come back to this once in a while to remind myself that i can be kind to myself 💖

This made me realize how important journaling is for me. I haven’t been keeping up with my lifelong practice lately and I’ve noticed that I tend to start verbal processing a lot more. Sometimes that’s good, but sometimes that looks like me saying things that didn’t really need to be said. Whenever I journal, I feel like I can release the worst and more easily parse through what actually needs discussing with someone else.

I have avoided this video because I push emotions down all the time and wasn't ready for the reality to hit. In short, I knew I would cry didn't think it would be this much.

I'm so grateful that I learned to comfort myself. I'm proud that I learned to identify when things are bad and when is anxiety speaking, thanks to that when I feel like everything is falling apart I can recognize which actions need to be taken.

If there's anything I've taken away from your videos (and there have been quite a few things) is how important it is to be looking out for future you. This foresight has treated future-me really well and helped set me up for success! I just finished my second writing my second book and have signed a contract for the third, so good job, past-me :)

I cried watching this video:(❤️ It’s crash how you came up with these conclusions. The tip about writing down what you wish someone would have said or did seems so powerful. This is a video that deserves a million views ! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas 💛💛.

Thank you for this!! Just had a great journal session where I made peace with my pre-teen/teen self that I hated and felt so much shame about. Gave my past self so much compassion that I wish I had back then ❤️ Lots of tears shed. Thank you!!

This video is really what I needed right now. Had a tough day again yesterday and already in the first minute of this video I realized again how destructive my own repeating thoughts can be. Also the part about self-acceptance was really important to me. Love the quote by Carl Rogers as well. Really enjoyed the video and I'm definetly incooperating some of these ideas into my life :)

This video is so great thank you! I've been reading a book recently called A Path through the Jungle by Prof Steve Peters which really compliments some of the things you've covered about separating your identity from your behaviours. It talks about the chimp brain/response vs the human response, and how to discern the 'real you' (i.e. your true values) from the instinctual programs, instincts, behaviours that do not represent the truth of you (i.e. anything which does not align with your integrity and values). It also covers some of the science about how to deactivate some of your instinctual programming/behaviours before they become a problem, in a way that's easy to understand.
