Mucking Fusser Your WM videos are the reason I am actually able to WM now! I spend about a whole month doing both but watch videos over and over and over! I read anything I could get my hands on WM and followed EVERY SINGLE tip! I had never bothered to try WM because of how hard it looked and because so many other talented ladies I followed couldn’t do it so I didn’t have the confidence to even try. One night at 11:30pm I had just received my Twinkle T mat and my first set of ANIV set I sat down and tried! I was literally jumping up and down when on my first attempt I got it!! I have been WM ever since. I can’t do fancy stuff but I can do four designs so far. Having a toddler makes it nearly impossible to have mommy nail time so I can only do them once every couple weeks(if I’m lucky) anyways sorry for rambling! Lol 😂 I really hope you’ll return to do more WM videos! I check at least once a month to make sure I haven’t misses a new video! 😊 Thanks for clear video, simple instructions and great talent!!If your interested in seeing my WM attempts feel free to drop by Nickys_nails_n_stuff on Instagram. Thanks!! Nicole

Hi, I tried this but it didn't work for me. The polish didn't spread out at all either, someone just mentioned that you have to use room temperature distilled water, is this true? What was the temperature of your water and what kind?...distilled etc?? The design is just beautiful! Also isn't there some kind of peel you can put around your nail? I saw it on another video, do you know the name? That would sure save alot of time and effort! Thanks very much in advance ...I'm hoping you'll answer my questions...I know there's a few :)

Yes room temp filtered water, use cheaper polishes (the thinner the better) and there's simply peel :)

Hello Diane! Thanks so much, I am glad you like em! 1) You should use room temperature filtered water. So around 75 degrees F. Make sure all fans turned off and windows closed too. 2) OPI, Zoya and Julep polishes are some brands that work that are a little more expensive. It's all about trial and error with marbling 3) I've used some Sally hansen and wet N' wild polishes but some work better then others 4) I used my phone for this video in particular :D

Hi! So I need advice. Whenever I try to shape it, I get to the edge then lift it up, and sometimes the design sticks to the stick and ruins itself. Also, my polish usually doesn't make it near the edge of the glass. If I could get some help, that would be amazing! Thanks so much (:
@mahnoorawan28688 жыл бұрын
+ Wolf Song The outer layer dries the fastest, so instead of dragging all the way to the end layer, stop a couple layers in. There could be a couple of things that you can do to make your polish spread to the edge of your glass. Using a smaller cup or bowl often helps. Another option could be to tap the edge of your cup or rotate it a little. Sweeping the water around your polish with an orange stick also works very well for spreading polish. Let me know if this helps! :)

also, I tried to see what my Mod Podge would do painted around my nail to see if it would peel off good. It does. But I suppose since YOU are the one who does this, and I never HAVE, you know what works. I am a perfectionist and I wanted to see if I could actually get the glue close enough to my nail so I wouldn't have to clean up with a brush. I know, I'm weird! OBVIOUSLY, one doesn't NEED to be so perfect because a brush and remover works just fine.

@MuckingFusser10 жыл бұрын
fiona Barrett Hmm that is odd those are some of the first colors I used to water marble with and are the ones I always recommend. Make sure you are painting your nail with a white base coat and that you have fairly newer polishes. Also testing out the combos before you put them on your nail can help as well. Let me know if you have any more concerns or problems with this brand! I also use Zoya, OPI and various indie creams to marble with :)

Just an FYI, the tape you're using is often called "masking tape" (also "painter's tape" at one time but now there are fancy, specialized pat's tapes, so that name isn't used as much). It's a great idea, as opposed to using cellophane tape (tape you'd use to repair a tear in paper or seal an envelope when the glue isn't sticky enough). Masking tape is used a lot in schools to post decorations on walls because it doesn't damage them (well, maybe once in a great while). It's wider...just a little...than cellophane tape. It's easier on skin, easier to take off, & CHEAP compared to using cellophane tape. You can tear off a series of strips, tack the very edge onto the table edge, & speed up applying the tape to the area around the nail. Last, it doesn't peel off in thin strips because it's thicker than cellophane tape...you couldn't easily peel cellphone tape off by loosening it with the tip of an orange stick, but you had no trouble with masking tape. I do recommend using Scotch brand over generic brands as generic masking tape is often thinner than cellophane tape. BTW, I did ask someone else but I want to get as many tips as I can. I can't get the polish to drop off the brush, no matter how much I load, how I go about loading the paint (dipping it in & out of the bottle, tilting the bottle to the side & holding the brush in it for a few seconds). Thinning isn't a lot of help...I tried putting nail polish remover (not a whole lot but enough that it would apply to the nail easily if I was just painting the nail). I shook it really hard, let it sit to get rid of bubbles in the polish, then shook it normally. Sometimes I'd get one drop, it'd spread fine. Other times, no drop or it would just sit there. It was room temperature water. I'm out of bottled water, but there are a lot of videos showing use of tap water. Some swear by certain brands of polish, others just use what they've picked up along the way. I REALLY want to have this design on my nails, but I'm not in good health, & honestly, I'm worn out from the aggro of trying to make this work. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks for this video. I LOVE th e colors & design. You are a born teacher. You speak plainly (I have bad hearing but I can understand you...not so much with ones who don't take the trouble to speak clearly. You show us what we need to get before we start...many do this, but you don't leave anything out & your descriptions & rationale are simply & clearly stated. You show the process (BTW I noticed you & other people tap the polish brush handle smartly on top, sometimes several times, but that wasn't much help & it hurt the joints in my hand). You show things others don't, like how to remove excess polish from the water (which sure hasn't been a problem for me, but it's nice to know). Thanks!

When you water marble your nails you put your first color and you let it spread into a little circle then you can put your second coloring and keep doing that and if you leave your nail polish in the water too long and It will just not work because it will dry out so work fast

How do you know which polish works for marbling?
@kpaudelxoxo81869 жыл бұрын
It would work if the same texture nail polishes are used together ! So if you use a thin nail polish and a thick gloopy nail posh it won't work together
@luvmymelody6819 жыл бұрын
I do it and the second drop doesn't spead.
@subhaankhan3879 жыл бұрын
it's because the second nail polish was too thick
@luvmymelody6819 жыл бұрын
Well how am I suppose to tell? :\
@iderfc9 жыл бұрын
+LLAMAS MSP If you "test paint" the nail polish, you'll see the difference between thick polish and thin polish. If the polish is too thick, just use nail thinner.
@luvmymelody6819 жыл бұрын
Is there anything else I can use besides nail thinner that would work?
@iderfc9 жыл бұрын
+LLAMAS MSP not that I can think of sorry
