I feel like this is the song that makes me wanna fall back into depression and into sufferment. I love pain so much, I behave like an addict, sometimes I think illusionally that suffering brings me closer to a world I would actually feel home in. Bring me back from this world, this reality. But 'in reality' I just die inside myself and find pleasure in it. Suicide isn't an option for me, but I feel like most people who kill their body by themselves are already dead inside before that next step. And I like drowning into that feeling of being lost, in these moments I don't want to come home, I just want to be dominated by that feeling, let the music, let the pain do with me whatever it wants. I need to end this relationship with pain, I need to find beauty in joy, happiness. I need to stop thinking pain is making me happy, or to be honest, that pain is my happiness. Once I were asked if I would prefer being an unhappy Socrates or a satisfied stupid guy. I immediately knew that I would choose Socrates. I thought happiness and satisfaction is something else, I critized anyone for choosing satisfaction. I wanted the deep feelings, the ones that blow you away, that make you feel like you're having an orgasm with your ears and heart and mind. I already can't really describe what I mean, but I'm behaving like a drug addict, and my drug is suffering (emotional pain). But I'm giving away my life, I allow the pain to eat me whole. It is so insane in a way, and it is weird now knowing that and still wanting to fall back into the pleasure of this track, of this pain. I still want to get lost, but I want to get found. And I should not expect that others find me, this is my job. Don't decide for your pain, for the depression, anxiety... Suffer sometimes, have melancholic days, suffer pain that heals you, that makes you feel like you're alive. But don't let yourself suffer from pain that makes you wanna slide deeper into that universe of darkness and beauty, that takes you away. It is a drug, you're the addict. But still you're the one having control.

In Life is Strange at the end, whatever choice you make Weather you Sacrifice Arcadia Bay or you sacrifice Chloe In both the endings Nathan will always be fucked. NO MATTER WHAT YOU CHOOSE. If you sacrifice Arcadia Bay, Nathan will die in storm with all the other characters. If you sacrifice Chloe, Nathan will be charged for murdering Chloe. You CANNOT save his "USED" ass.

По всей видимости, эта песня (написанная в 2004 году явно не для оста игры, которая выйдет через 10 лет) и была вдохновением для персонажа Нейтана и вечеринки в четвёртой главе. Хотя в игре используется первая половина, вторая очень близка к персонажу Нейтана по своей сути. Первые строки рассказывают о вечеринке, которая хоть и выглядит заводной, но большинство присутствующих не особо имеют выбора, чем ещё себя развлечь, потому они и тут, прямо как многие нпс на той вечеринке и даже сама Макс, которая пришла сюда искать пресловутого Нейтана. Возможно, в раннем сценарии Нейтан таки присутствует на вечеринке и не был убит Джефферсоном до её начала, но это уже гадание на кофейной гуще. Лирический герой, которого я для удобства буду в дальнейшем называть Нейтаном, не видит смысла ни в своём, ни в существовании других. Из-за своей вины в чём-то, о чём в песне не говорится, возможно, в своих грехах и оплошностях, тот опустошён и растерян, что пытается глушить наркотой. Наш Нейтан глушит наркотой тот факт, что он убил Рейчел и в принципе пытается глушить наркотой свои психические проблемы, не осознавая, что делает всё ещё хуже. Нейтан в песне это отчасти понимает, но думает, что ничего не может измениться. По итогу Нейтан либо умирает, но надеется, что в следующей жизни всё будет лучше и он "засияет", либо начинает реабилитацию, надеясь, что по итогу его жизнь станет лучше, что в принципе соответствует сюжету концовок игры: он либо 100% умрёт, либо будет арестован и отправится в психлечебницу (или тюрьму, но кто его с кучей зависимостей и отсутствием контроля гнева отправит не в дурку?) Возможно, мой анализ не точный, потому что отчасти вышенаписанное можно применить и к Виктории, но от текста лично для меня так и разит Прескоттом

Для меня эта песня тоже веет вайбами Прескотта, ещё и учитывая тот факт, что разработчики сделали эту песню фоном как раз в момент голосового сообщения от Нейтана, когда он, можно сказать, осознаёт, что грешен и принимает свою судьбу. Если вдуматься, он же мог позвонить отцу, позвонить полиции, попросить о помощи. Однако, он звонит именно Макс, просит прощения, открывает перед ней душу и предостерегает. Создаётся ощущение, что это была некая попытка на искупление перед смертью. Символично
