Landorus-Incarnate has returned to Legendary Raid as the second Flying-type boss in Season: Shared Skies.
Back in Timeless Travels, Landorus-Therian had returned to raid with an exclusive move - Sandsear Storm. Landorus-Therian gained a large improvement, especially under Party Power and in Go Battle League, with the move. Unfortunately, Incarnate form remains locked from Sandsear Storm in this rotation.
Landorus-Incarnate is a Ground/Flying type Pokemon, which is weak against Water-type and double weak to Ice-type move. As a raid boss, Landorus-Incarnate has 218 attack and 155 defense. Landorus-Incarnate learns Mud Shot/Rock Throw as fast moves and Earth Power/Rock Slide/Focus Blast/Outrage as charged moves.
With Landorus-Incarnate low defense and double weakness, it can even be solo raided under Snow weather. Unfortunately, it is now June, such that Solo Raid is not a feasible option due to the lack of weather condition. However, as a soloable raid boss, it means Landorus-Incarnate is also an extremely easy Duo Raid. Specifically, budget counters like Lv35 Mamoswine, Galarian Darmanitan, Cetitan, Weavile, Avalugg, Jynx, Glaceon, Aurorus and Beartic can all defeat Landorus-Incarnate as Duo Raid without weather boost.
For Mega Evolution, most Mega Evolved Pokemon with Ice-type charged moves (Mega Lopunny), Water-type Mega Evolution (Mega Swampert) and the strongest Mega Evolutions (Mega Rayquaza) can all defeat Landorus-Incarnate by themselves.
Of course, once again Mega Rayquaza would face the legendary raid boss in new rotation. Similar to Zapdos, in this sky (Flying-type) theme season, Mega Rayquaza can provide candy XL bonus in general when catching the raid boss, which makes it one of the more desirable generalist counter.
This time, Mega Rayquaza is challenging Mud Shot/Outrage Landorus-Incarnate. Undoubtedly, Outrage is Landorus-Incarnate's hardest hitting move against Mega Rayquaza such that it would prefers dodging as much as possible.
While Outrage has a really forgiving 2.5s damage window such that Mega Rayquaza can comfortably dodge them while using Dragon Ascent, it has its own problem - server desync. With Landorus-Incarnate's Mud Shot/Outrage moveset, Outrage would be the main damage source to Mega Rayquaza. Which means if server desync happens, the gap between Mega Rayquaza fainted by server and client can be wide, which would cause a severe time waste if it went unnoticed. Unfortunately, that is what happened exactly in this execution after first rejoin. As a result, Mega Rayquaza spent around 150s to put Landorus-Incarnate in half HP while the second half only cost around 110s.
