Can I Learn a Language in 7 Days with Duolingo?

Since blindfolded cooking was too easy, my new plan to up the difficulty is to do blindfolded cooking but in a language that I don't know yet. In this case I'll be collabing with ‪@MahouShoujoRiri‬ in 7 days and will need to master the language of Norwegian by then. Wish me luck 😬

I've been learning Norwegian on and off since late 2019 and it's relatively easier for me as a native English speaker due to the vast amount of similarities. But I gave up on duolingo except for vocab a long time ago. For listening, I definitely recommend Norwegian music, some if my favourite artists being Gabrielle, Sval and Tix although there is a plethora of them out there. There are some good shows and films also, I kinda like Hjem Til Jul as well as Ragnarok on Netflix. Speaking is also important, so even if it's just narrating your life to yourself at least once a day, that's better than nothing and it also helps to figure out new vocab you could search up and learn. Reading I haven't done much of, although sometimes I do read Norwegian social media posts, set my phone to Norwegian and play games in Norwegian where possible. Writing is the one I've done the least of as I don't have any real use for it at the moment. Although transcribing what you're listening to works. Lykke til og jeg håper du liker det!

Mudan struggling to pronounce words in Norwegian is me when I'm trying to converse in English. English is my second language and a bit of an introvert so I hardly practice the said language. So props to you for trying. 😅

Norwegian words are easy to pronounced on their own, but mixing them together in convo is a bit harder

Duolingo is horrible for learning a new language, but it's probably the most fun way of learning language for people to watch because of the quiz format
