A great moment to capture. "Lover of the Bayou" is one of my favorite McGuinn/Byrds songs. The live version on the Byrds 'Untitlted" album is killer.

“Untitled” is in my top 5 albums of all time. That lineup was the greatest.

First time view of this vid [8/10/22] and oh wow! Whoever took the footage - you were treated to something totally unique. I've been head over heels in love with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers ever since I first heard 'Refugee' on radio here in New Zealand some time in late October '79 when I was 15 going on 16 in early Nov. I'm a Scorpio and proud of it too - got the tattoo on my left clavicle skin - and it's very small - almost insignificant - just how I wanted it to look. Had my near-death motorcycle accident here in New Zealand in 1990 when I was 26 - ultimately I became a hemipelvectomy amputee i.e. the highest level left leg amputee - hip and pelvis is amputated. Plus I suffered several other serious internal injuries - spent 3 weeks in the ICU [intensive care unit] of 2 hospitals, and a total of 101 days in hospital. Back to this awesome vid, it is absolutely breath-taking to be honest. I love the name of the band; 'Mudcrutch' - I use crutches to ambulate when I'm not on my prosthesis. Sweet. I can actually imagine this video on replay for say an hour easily...I'm watching it as I type this and I'm shifting the play back to the start so it doesn't stop. Oh god thank you for Mudcrutch and especially Tom Petty. And how about those axe players givin' it their all...Roger McGuinn you are a beautiful man! 'Lover of the Bayou'....this music is so inspirational...Thank you uploader Highkickev this is so greatly appreciated. Bless you bro. Best wishes from New Zealand. Tom Petty R.I.eternal P.

*Thank you* Evelyn for this lovely recording! I think it captures not only their thrilling performance, but somehow also the joy of the one whose hand uplifted the camera. (As to whether Mr. McGuinn lives in Florida -- I'm certain he goes wherever he feels called by the music.) He and Mr. Petty have done some fine things together, but I did NOT know he had played w/ Mudcrutch so THANK YOU AGAIN for making it available!

This song is a nice jam vehicle. Tom Leadon is another under-rated guitarist, just like his brother, Bernie.

McGuinn looks over at Campbell like, is that Clarence White on the B-Bender?

Tom Petty plays Bass and the show is great but I really miss the late Clarence Whites intense solo playing on this Creole classic.
