The “strange” one with the agate in bands looks like agatized petrified wood.❤

I wonder how old they are? It's not uncommon to find stuff from the early 1900s there.

Thomas, you found some beautiful rocks. That weird one is really pretty. I've got over 3 months till I can get back out hounding. Thanks for filling the gap. ❤️💔🎸🏏

Really loving how dense the bands on those agates are up there. And that last jasper was a nice score. It's so strange to me to see you on the Mississippi up there and it's so tiny. Down here near the Gulf of Mexico, when people say "Mississippi River" we picture it a half-mile wide or more. :)
@99Rockhounding2 жыл бұрын
Pretty amazing to think that the water starts all the way up here and makes it way all the way to the Gulf.

I went to the Mississippi River in the nirth and was shocked how small it was. I wasn't able to rock hound as recent rainstorms covered the shores. Just poison ivy.
@99Rockhounding2 жыл бұрын

I feel your pain - I like to walk the Mississippi River a few days a week to try and find agates - I haven't had much luck - since the rocks are so dirty and it's really hard to tell. Your video is encouraging, I'll keep visiting the river and hopefully - one day a nice agate will turn up. :)

Beautiful day and video Thomas, well done. Sweet agates and quartz finds, love the banding, colors and patterns. The one at 8:50 is pretty dang cool looking, and the jasper at the end is sweet too. Nice old pliers.
