This makes the best carrot cake and banana bread you will ever eat. Sorghum is the key ingredient so it is worth traveling to get some Muddy Pond.

I am a customer of Muddy Pond sorghum syrup. It's the best I've ever had. I have to order it through Amazon because I couldn't find any sorghum syrup of any kind here in Galveston county Tx. There is just nothing better than sorghum syrup and butter mixed together on a hot biscuit or flapjacks.

Susan Acito / Wow! That's great. Good for visitors to have some wholesome people for their children to talk with. It would be lovely if city-kids could visit a farm like that!

My Grandfather Williams use to make some of the best Sorghum you could find, there was a mill right off of old highway 42 just below Andrew Parsons old store and near to the Padget store which stands today.

I use their Sorghum syrup and it is the best. Better than my real maple syrup in my opinion. It's the best sweetener for home made lemon aid you'll ever find. Please try it out and I promise you'll love it.

I buy Muddy Pond Sorghum from Amazon, but just found this video. Great to see how its made. My Gramps use to buy it in gallon buckets and bring it to us for Christmas. Shame grocery stores don't carry it anymore.

Sorghum syrup is made from the juice of sorghum cane. Muddy Pond Sorghum is pure sorghum syrup with no additives. Don't mistake sorghum syrup for molasses. Molasses is the by-product of the sugar making industry. Sugar cane juice is boiled down to make sugar and the syrup that is left is called molasses. It is usually strong and dark. Sorghum syrup is mild and can be eaten alone or on biscuits, rolls, and toast. It is also good in baked beans, barbeque sauce, gingerbread, popcorn balls, cookies,

Wow, this is great! I LOVE your sorghum! Even more so now that I know your story, and how labor intensive it is to make! I've bought your product for use over ice cream and it really makes the difference! Thank you so much! You have a loyal customer in me for sure!

You can make a popcorn-like snack from sorghum grain too. The grains pop in oil almost just like popcorn does. It tastes really good.

@@kingcountyband yep love the smell, they show how this is made at a country fair around here or at least how it would be pressed most of the juice is dumped out though its mostly for demonstrations of the old horse powered equiptment, I said what a waste they should sell some of it after they boil it down.
