Totally awesome! I saw Muddy and his band live in a small club back in 1973. I sat at the front row table, just like the Stones in this video, right in front of Muddy and just feet away from the stage. It was absolutely the greatest musical experience of my life in terms of raw energy, the power of the blues, the enormous charisma and talent of Muddy Waters, and the history of the blues itself. This man was a true living legend and a giant of musical history.

I met him at a festival in W Monroe in summer 77 ....Willie and the Outlaws event..asked him was he really Muddy Waters..he looked at me and said "whats left of him" great guy lol

When they were unknown young teenagers they were one of few Blues bands in England. They took the name of a Muddy Waters song and called theirselves the Rolling Stones. When England discovered American Blues the promoters would bring a name musician over and back them with what's called a "pick up" band. The Stones backed Muddy on a couple of UK tours. By time this video was made they were life-long friends. There are several videos on You Tube from the night the Stones unannounced walked into a Chicago Blues club and sat in with Muddy the whole evening. That's the Blues equivalent of a B-2 Bomber!!!

Went to see Buddy Guy a few weeks ago, and he took time out to impress upon the audience that it was the British that saved a lot of American blues musicians from obscurity. They could not get airtime in the US, save on smaller, black, stations, but in the UK, we though they were magic. I used to go and see the Yardbirds (with Eric Clapton) play with Sonny Boy Williamson. The Rolling Stones would play with Muddy Waters at the Crawdaddy Club in Richmond, and when they came over to the US, they brought him with them. Almost no one in white America had ever heard of him. Same goes for Howling Wolf, Sun House, B B King, John Lee Hooker, and a host of others.

Saw Muddy at Ann Arbor Blues Jazz Festival in 72. He has Sippy Wallace and Bonnie Raitt on stage with him. Otis Spann's widow was given a plaque dedicated to her late husband naming the park after him during Muddy's set. What a day!

J e m'en fous de Wood. Après Taylor y avait Wayne Perkins, Danny Kirwan, Steve Hunter, Leslie West !...Des guitaristes qui savent tenir un manche. Wood a été employé par Keith Richards pour son côté festif, défonce, beuverie, pais pas pour son jeu de guitare complétement vide inconséquent creux et bordélique. les Stones ne respectent plus leur musique et leur public depuis longtemps, il s'en foutent ça marche c'est le triomphe du mauvais goût !
