Hola! 🖐Really liking how this room is turning out! Every addition just adds to the previous. It looks like you are getting the best use out of every square inch by the time you are done. Take care and have a good one, Adios!👊

Fabulous - and love your pun: shelf esteem!

Love it and the laundry room :) Only suggestion is to replace the front lag bolt with something like a toggle bolt that will let you you really clamp down onto the drywall on the front of the support. :)

What stain did you use for that wood? I like how dark it is.

Didn’t you put in a wall of cabinets on the oposit side of the room? Why don’t you keep the detergent there? Just wondering

Watching those free-hand cuts makes me nervous. 😬

Why cut two 45 degrees, one would have been enough and therefore no need to fill the gap where the two boards attach to each other.

You cut a "wedge" out of the backside and then glue the remaining edges together so that it looks like the grain "waterfalls" over the hard 90* break. If you were to simply cut once and then flip the shorter board around, you'd have a nice joint but the grain pattern wouldn't match and you'd lose the effect.

@@Lawrence330 you're right in theory, but I don't think he achieved any waterfall effect with that 1/4 gap in his miter 😂

You could have used the circular saw to re-cut the mitter joint: the curf of the saw would have been enough to take of the gap between the two boards. Regarding washing machines, I really prefer the front loading ones, not only I think they are softer on the clothes, but they have a flat top and can be installed under a counter top.
