Are you seriously forgetting that after Kiros died, Scar contemplated letting Mufasa drown!? That's a major red flag. Mufasa was merciful enough to let Scar stay in Milele. Most of Scar ending up the way he was was because of Obasi's influence.

Huge mistake? Scar literally betrayed Mufasa because he was friendzoned by Sarabi. Yeah he was mad Mufasa took the love of his parents from him, but Sarabi choosing Mufasa over him was the reason he betrayed Mufasa to Kiros. It's true villains are made not born, but Scar became evil because of a ridiculous reason.

@ I wouldn’t really say Mufasa took the love of Scar’s parents from him. Eshe loved them equally, but Scar didn’t get to spend much time with her because Obasi forced him to lounge around with the males. As for Obasi, he hated Mufasa’s guts from day one just because he’s a stray, and, after Mufasa saved Eshe from the Outsiders, I think he more gained some respect for Mufasa. But, other than that, you’re right. Scar’s betrayal of Mufasa was unforgivable.
