He is a unpad, jahil kasai, he is able to afford them because he is bringing from his own slaughterhouse. For him lions and tigers are just like slaughterhouse animals. He and servant raised them as cubs so they look to them as Alpha male as they hit them with stick. He is never turning his back on them inside the cage, he is not as stupid as what you think he is.

Some advice to avoid fatal accidents- 1. Don’t play with their half eaten food. 2. Don’t let the tiger piss infront of the lion and bring the lion back to where the tiger pissed(when you are present in there). 3. The lion(Mufasa) is in its peak age if he is not getting proper care and free environment where he feels he is not being caged or he is going to get sick or he is attacking you or other human interaction. 4. Leaving the lionesses with a male tiger infront of the lion is the most inappropriate thing to do , it will only make the lion more vulnerable and ferocious. 5. Keep a high watch pressure spray on your chambers.
