Why couldn't they make this animated instead of CGI??? Disney!!! What are you doing??? Didn't you learn from the "live action" Lion King screw up???? Had this been animated... I would be SO excited for it!! The lion king was and still is my favorite Disney movie!!

CGI is animation. At least the characters in this movie have clearer and more noticeable facial expressions than the characters in the 2019 movie.

I don't know....this "they were best friends before becoming sworn enemies", like TRANSFORMERS ONE between Optimus Prime & Megatron, (which was by the way, a very GOOD prequel movie for the Transformers saga) does not seems appropriate to me. I mean, the guy (scar) literally put his claws inside mufasa's paws after telling him "long live the king" and throwing him out like a garbage to the wildebeests stampede. He (scar) better had a good reason to do this (which will be explained maybe in this prequel movie), otherwise, if it's just "I should have been king instead of you mufasa", then it'll be very lame....we shall see if this movie is worth it.

Most of the criticism that this movie has been getting is unfair, unnecessary, harsh and just ridiculous. So what if this movie isn't 2D animated?! The CGI is still impressive. At least the movie will tell an original story. Many people have always wanted a movie to be made about the origin stories of Mufasa and Scar. What's more important are the story, the script, the voice acting and the songs themselves.

@@9709Nick It is an original story because not only will this movie be new but will also be telling a story that has never been told before. There's no movie, TV show or storybook that explains how Mufasa rose to power and how he and Scar met Sarabi, Zazu and Rafiki and why Sarabi married Mufasa instead of Scar.

Wtf? Scar doesn't even look like scar!!!! My God, y'all take one of the best stories, change the narrative and ruin it. Plus timone didn't come along til Simba ran away,so why is he in mufasa childhood

He isn't. He, Pumbaa and Kiara are just there to listen to Rafiki tell the origin story of Mufasa and Scar, which obviously takes place when they were young, before Scar got his Scar and before Simba's birth.
