The Lion King Director was Jon Favreau. Director from Prehistoric Planet season 1+2. A very cool dinosaur series.

Maybe he got caught up with other projects and maybe they wanted to cast someone a much younger because this is a prequel after all.

It's basically the same, just with little bit more expression that everyone was nitpicking about,(keep in mind it's only a teaser, so there will be some changes). I'm so sure there will be something else people will be nitpicking about this prequel. Let's give the garage a rest, the OG films will forever be perfect. But that doesn't mean we cant enjoy these remakes differently, just like Beauty and the Beast, and Jungle Book.
