Hi! Its going to be a lot of reading but please sit through it, it wil only take 2-3 mins out of your life. I'm sorry if theres any grammatical mistakes, i cant point all the evidence from quran right now for proof but I can assure you will find the verses if you look for it in quran. Please dont be offended if you read it, if you take offense and think im wrong, let me know! I want to know your thoughts too but in a precise, logical and scholarly way. there is A LOT of verses in the quran where allah mentions you have to believe one and only the book quran and no other book and that you have to follow the prophets sunnah which are already in the quran where verses mention his (rightousness, truthfulness, kindness, humbleness etc). Allah also makes sure to state that those who follow or make rules other that allah are going to be punished. It says that whatever the prophet tells us to follow is coming straight from allahs commands and not his own. Which exactly what allah means in the famous verse you hadith believers use "follow allah and whatever prophet tells you" ... prophet is the messenger of allahs words and not any superior human that has to be idolized so strictly, ofcourse! without following the prophet you wont know anything about quran because he is the bridge between allah and the mankind?? ofcourse you have to follow him but you DONT have to carbon copy him. if people want to then leave it to them but keep in mind that it should NOT be a requirement because prophet was also a human and he had his own way of praying to god. His actions took place in a certain time at a certain culture, that doesnt mean you guys try to become mindless beings and become just him? when you guys mention that you would rather follow rules that have been established by mere humans and not what god CLEARLY says, it is very disrespectful to god. And also the books you guys follow saying thats what the prophet did, how do you know its true??? Allah specifically and clearly says that he is protecting the quran from any kind of manipulation from mankind which also means that other books are at risk, might contain popular beliefs of fairy-tales and should not be qualified to be trustworthy. By you guys stating that prophet is what makes the rules that should be followed over allah is also disrespectful to him and not just Allah. Allah knew that people would come from different generations, backgrounds and cultures and they dont have patience which is why he leaves a lot of things vague leaving it to each peoples own interpretations and favor. Some you guys believe that the prophet is who made everything more easy for us to follow islam when Allah clearly is the wisest and kindest? How do you believe that Allah didnt think through his decisions and had to adjust to prophets advice?? Allah states that he is the only decision maker and NO body else is his partner in making decisions to follow islam. How is the story of the prophet pleading to allah to make prayer requirements 5 times for the mankind to be easy to follow.... proving that allah is the wisest and not the prophet? How is prophet, at the last day of judgement, telling Allah to keep searching for humans that have the tiniest bit of faith in allah, proving that Allah is the kindest and not the prophet? How is any of this proving that Allah is the only decision maker and the prophet (SAO) is just the messenger of his words and Allah's most beloved human being and not a partner? Allah states that quran is the LAST edit allah has made after his other books and it is full and compete. If you guys rely SO MUCH on the hadiths... whether its praying, whether its walking, whether its the clothes that you're wearing... do you guys really believe this sentence??? Allah wants us to be good at heart and not be some machines that spend most of their days worrying about how to sit right and talk right. We can think for ourselves. Its clearly shown in the quran that allah cares more about peoples personalities, righteousness and a good soul. Most of the Muslims I see now spend most of their time and brainpower looking for how to sit, dress, talk right... It's not about what color of shirt youre wearing to class and how you are holding the pen, its about what you know to answer the questions to the test. If quran was the only book left to follow, how clueless would you guys be and how drastically will your life style change?? CLEARLY you guys dont think of god as the wisest, kindest and qualified to make rules and make a book that doesnt need any additional help to make it properly understandable... you guys put the scholars and the prophet above god. Why do you make it so complicated for yourselves when Allah himself is the one telling you, you dont need to do much to make him happy. Not only are you making it harder for yourself to follow but youre also making a fool of yourself in front of allah by showing that the mankind knows more than allah himself does.

I follow mufti menk, nouman Ali Khan, Yasir qahdi, and others. They refer to the authentic Hadiths, which follow back to the companions of the prophet s.a.w. So I suggest look up anything u have issues understanding by these scholars.

Something worth sharing:: After witnessing the comparison between the hadith and the Quran, how can a sound mind still insist on hadith? How can still call those books sharif, or sahih, or authentic? How can they forgive the hadith narrators and collectors who sold them all kinds of lies and stories, containing so much ignorance and distortion? How can they get mad at Salman Rushdi, while much worse insults charged against Muhammad by hadith narrators and collectors? When followers of hadith and sunna cannot defend the nonsensical and contradictory hadiths (narrations) abundant in their so-called authentic hadith books, they suggest picking and choosing those hadiths that are not contradictory to the Quran. We call these people compromisers, or Selective Sunnis. Not a single court will accept the testimony of Bukhari who collected contradictory hadiths about the Prophet Muhammad, narrated from generation to generation 200 years after his departure. Sunnis try to minimize the number and size of errors in the hadiths. There are hundreds lies, not “a few errors.” And they are grave ones. They attribute stupid and contradictory laws and words to God. They create a manmade religion in the name of God! They are full of insult to God and His Messenger. They are not trivial, since God Almighty does not accept those “few errors” as trivial: ” . . . Who is more evil than the one who fabricates lies and attributes them to God?” (29:68) If any book contains a few lies (and we have more than just “a few” examples), then, the endorsement of that book is not reliable. If you see dozens of repeated fabrications introduced as trustworthy (sahih) hadith, then how can you still rely on other narrations of the same book? Judging each hadith on its individual merit may seem attractive for those who are not satisfied with God’s book, but it is a waste of time and a deceptive method. If the signature of narrators (sanad) cannot provide authenticity about the source of hadith, then our only guide to decide on the content of hadiths (matn) will be our personal wish or our current inclinations. How can we decide which hadith has merit? How can we decide which hadith is accurate? We may say “by comparing them with the Quran!” But, what does this really mean? If it is “me” who will compare a hadith to the Quran, if it is again “me” who will judge whether it contradicts the Quran or not, then, I will end up with “hadith” which supports “my” personal understanding of the Quran. In this case a hadith cannot function as an explanation of the Quran. It will be confirmation or justification of my understanding of the Quran; with literally tasteless, grammatically lame language…. Furthermore, what about hadiths that bring extra duties and prohibitions? Again, there are many hadiths about the Prophet’s life, which you cannot accept with a sober mind. They are narrated repeatedly in many so-called authentic books. We cannot create a history out of a mishmash of narration by a subjective method of pick and choose. We can create many conflicting portraits of Muhammad out of those hadiths. As for pure historical events that are isolated from their moral and religious implications, they are not part of the Deen, and we don’t need them for our salvation. History is not immune to filtration, censorship and distortion by the ruling class. You can see many different versions of histories regarding the era of early Islam. Just read Sunni and Shiite histories. We cannot disregard God’s frequent assertion that the Quran is sufficiently detailed, complete, clear, and easy to understand. 17:46 “When you preach your Lord, in the Quran ALONE, they run away with aversion.” Hadith books are full of contradictory teachings. They eventually lead us to a sanctified and justified sectarian division in the name of the Prophet. Their very nature is another proof that hadith collections cannot be divine, since God, characterizes His Word and Deen as not having contradiction: “Why do they not study the Quran careful? If it were from other than God, they would have found in it numerous contradictions.” (4:82). This verse clearly refutes the traditional argument that hadith books contain other revelations besides the Quran, since the followers of Hadith and Sunna wrongly attribute verses about the Quran to hadith, such as: “Your friend (Muhammad) is not astray, nor is he deceived. Nor is he speaking out of a personal desire. It is a divine inspiration.” (53:2-4). Furthermore, verses 39:27-28 describes the Quran and the following verse to distinguish the divine teaching from other teachings. “God cites the example of a man who deals with disputing partners, compared to a man who deals with only one man. Are they the same? Praise be to God; most of them do not know.” (39:29). Obviously, hadith narrators and collections are “disputing partners,” while the Quran is a consistent source. Our conviction regarding the divinity of the Quran and even its protection does not come from our trust in the number of people, but from the evidence contained in the book, which is another number, a number that is not appreciated by those who determine the truth based on the number of heads with turbans. (Wonder about that number? See 74:30). We reject Hadith because we respect Muhammad. No sound person would like to have people born several centuries after him roam the earth and collect hearsay attributed to him. Besides, if Muhammad and his supporters really believed that the Quran was not sufficient for guidance, an ambiguous book, or lacked details, then, surely they would be the first ones who would write them down and collect them in books. After all, their numbers were in hundreds of thousands and they had plenty of wealth. They could afford some ink, papyrus paper or leather, and some brain cells, for such an important task. They would not leave it for a guy from far Bukhara or his ilk, more than two hundred years to collect hadiths in a land soaked with blood because of sectarian wars. Besides, Muhammad had many unemployed or handicapped people around who would gladly volunteer for such mission. The traditional excuse fabricated for Prophet Muhammad and his supporters is absurd. Supposedly, Muhammad and his followers feared that people would mix the Quran with hadiths. This is nonsense. They were smart enough to distinguish both, and there were enough people to keep track of them. Besides, it is the followers of hadith and sunna themselves who claim that the Quran was a “literary miracle”. If their claim of “literary miracle” were true, then it would be much easier to separate the verses of the Quran from hadith. Let’s assume that they could not really distinguish the text of the Quran from Muhammad’s words, then couldn’t they simply mark the pages of the scripture with the letter Q for the Quran and letter H for Hadith, or let some record only the Quran, or simply color code their covers? Or allocate leather for the Quran and paper for hadith, or vise versa? They could find many ways to keep different books separate from each other. They did not need to study rocket science or have computer technology to accomplish that primitive task. The collectors of hadiths wished that people would accept their assertion that Muhammad and his supporters did not have ink, paper or leather, mind, and care to collect hadith before them. No wonder, they even fabricated a few hadiths claiming that Muhammad’s companions were competing with dogs for bones to write on the verses of the Quran! Well, most likely, Muhammad feared that people would mix his words with the Quran. Not the primitive way that is depicted by the Sunnis and Shiites, since as we pointed out, there were many ways to eliminate that concern. But the real concern of Muhammad was different. Because of the warnings of the Quran, he feared that Muslims would follow the footsteps of Jews and would create their own Mishna, Gomorra, and Talmud: hadith would be considered as an authority, as another source besides the Quran, setting him as partner with God! Ironically, the followers of hadith and sunna accomplished exactly that. They did not need to publish the text of hadith together with the Quran-though they have done that in many commentaries-they have been doing worse. Though they usually have kept hadith separate from the Quran physically, as far as for the purpose of guidance and religious authority, they mix it with the Quran. Even worse, they make the understanding of the Quran dependant to the understanding of hadith, thereby elevating hadith to position of authority over the Quran. Thus, if indeed Muhammad was worried about people mixing his words with the Quran, the followers of hadith proved his worries right: centuries after him, they did not only mix his words with the Quran, they mixed thousands of fabrication and nonsense attributed to him. See 25:30; 59:7.

The compilers of hadeeth had no way of knowing if the hadeeth actually came from the narrator or not. Instead, they relied on either oral and written reports. As for the use of reason, there is very little or none. Unfortunately even Muslims dont know or understand the difference between the two texts (Quran and Hadith) and use them interchangeably in Islam , which is ‘Shirk’ (Association of anything with Allah’s word and a grave sin) In writing these books, the authors did NOT care if the hadiths were contradicting the Quran or the other hadiths or even Common Sense !! Islam has moved from the religion of Allah, the QURAN, to the infamous hadiths. In these books a new religion was written that dominated over the Quran despite the claim for the opposite.

Beautifully said. Sahi is not sahi at all, not even the ones labeled sahi. Why is it called sahi when weak and rejected are included. Whats strange is the cult like following of the hadith, the people on online forums vehemently rejecting, attacking those of scrutinizing hadith even tho the hadith contradicts Quran. Why cant there be an update and supercede the discarded hadith? Even now, with peak literacy and acess to knowledge, i see Muslims always resorting to scholars, why? Why not question yourself, think, ponder, hypothesize, repeat? Scholars mould mind of ppl to be mirror into their own way of understanding. Well there goes any guidance the Quran would have given for the individual. We sit here praise the science in Quran then wonder why we didn't discover it. Yet they still run to scholars of today and centuries ago for tafsir. They surely will be of the losers. Makes me wonder the forces behind this madness, forces wanting to keep us this way 🤔

JazakAllah Brother: Most speakers forget to emphasize that collection of Hadith is not Quran. If there is any contradiction between Hadith and the Quran, remember the Quran takes precedence over Hadith. Thanks.

Allah showed great kindness to the believers when He sent a Messenger to them from among themselves to recite His Signs to them, purify them and teach them the Book and Wisdom, even though before that they were clearly misguided. (Surah Al `Imran: 164) You have an excellent model in the Messenger of Allah, for all who put their hope in Allah and the Last Day and remember Allah much. (Surat al-Ahzab :21) We have sent you bearing witness, bringing good news, and warning so that you might all believe in Allah and His Messenger as well as honor, respect, and glorify Him in the morning and the evening. Those who pledge their allegiance to you pledge allegiance to Allah. Allah`s hand is over their hands. Those who break their pledge only break it against themselves. But as for those who fulfill the contract they have made with Allah, We will give them an immense reward. (Surat al-Fath: 8-10) [The believers are] those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find written down with them in the Torah and the Gospel, commanding them to do right and forbidding them to do wrong, making good things lawful for them and bad things forbidden for them, relieving them of their heavy loads and the chains that were around them. Those who believe in him, honor and help him, and follow the Light that has been sent down with him are successful. (Surat al-A`raf: 157) You should accept whatever the Messenger gives you and abandon whatever he tells you to abandon. Have taqwa of Allah... (Surat al-Hashr: 7) O you who believe, obey Allah, the Messenger, and those in command among you. If you disagree about something, refer it back to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best thing to do and gives the best result. (Surat an-Nisa`: 59) When Allah and His Messenger have decided something, no believing man or woman has a choice about [following or not following] it. Anyone who disobeys Allah and His Messenger is clearly misguided. (Surat al-Ahzab: 36) But if anyone opposes the Messenger after the guidance has become clear to him, and follows a path other than that of the believers, We will hand him over to whatever he has turned to, and We will roast him in Hell. What an evil destination! (Surat an-Nisa`: 115) O you who believe, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when He calls you to what will bring you to life. Know that Allah intervenes between a person and his heart and that you will be gathered to Him. (Surat al-Anfal: 24)

there are many contradictory claims from the hadiths, so i’m gonna .point out one instance here, in the QURAN God says to the Prophet say: I’m not a novelty among the Messengers and I do not know what will be done to me nor do I know what will be done to thee... on the other hand we have the claim from hadith that says that ten of the prophet companions are in paradise and the prophet according to the hadith tells us numerous episodes of the hereafter
