Du'a is worship of Allah. Du'a saved Ayyub (peace be upon him) from severe illness and adversity... Du'a delivered Yunus (peace be upon him) from belly of whale to safety. Du'a of Zakariya (peace be upon him) was answered as a son in his old age from his barren wife.Du'a gave Sulayman (peace be upon him) a kingdom such as not belong to anyone after him. Du'a of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was answered as Muhammad (peace be upon him) reciting Allah's verses in Makkah. Du'a has changed the course of history of world. Thank you for the great reminders Mufti Menk. I am one of those who is without children and thankful for it everyday, for I have a severe mental illness that has caused me immense suffering that I do not want to pass down to any children. So Allah has by his infinite mercy made me without children and at an age where I can make that decision wisely and be happy with it. I love Allah. But please, if any brothers and sisters can make a dua for just one thing: We have a bird, a parakeet in our family who has a neurological problem and seems to be suffering immensely too and cannot walk or even stand without falling over. I cry about it day and night and the pain makes me want to die before the bird does. Can some brothers and sisters please make a dua for our parakeet to be healed and live a comfortable rest of his life. Thank you so much Alhamdullilah...I am desperate. My dad doesn't want to help me take him to the veterinarian because he doesn't believe that the veterinarian can help. He says I can take him by myself if I want to, but then I would have to put him on the floor of the car where there would be turbulence and I don't want to discomfort him. I feel so helpless. Please help! :( May Allah grant you everything your heart desires for making this dua for us. Alhamdulillah.

Nor just read your post and sorry to hear about your bird. May Allah give your bird full shifa ameen and grant him ease. ameen... Animals can be really dear to us, I understand your pain. Don't lose hope, keep making dua and make dua by asking forgiveness, praising Allah,reading durood shareef many times and by making your dua. InshaAllah

@@ashxx1442 I am just seeing this comment 6 years later. Alhamdulillah My bird went in peace. We had him put down in a gentle way and I stroked his feathers as he passed. We now have two other birds and they are very sweet Alhamdullilah. I love them.
