This is a track suit, so they aren't going for maximum protection... they are balancing protection against weight. The most likely potential fatal injury zone is the neck, so this airbag protects that area.

@@t3h8ar0n While that makes sense, other airbags provide considerably better protection. Alpinestars Tech-Air is commonly used in MotoGP, and In&Motion is widely used on the track and the Isle of Man TT, yet both provide far more protection than the latest D-Air-equipped leathers. I can only speculate that Dainese reduced its airbag coverage to save costs. I have older D-Air-equipped leather gear that is very comfy yet gives more airbag coverage than the latest D-Air-equipped suits.

@The-Splat I'm not sure why they changed it, but I really doubt it is to "reduce costs"... I priced out getting this suit made, and it is over $6k. People spending that much on a suit are not price sensitive.

Why only such a small Airbag coverage ???? I think almost 90% of Bikers wears this suit on the Road. So its useless !!!
