He is called the gentle giant, his voice is like butter. I am glad I got to see him in concert before he passed. Everyone at the concert could sing every song word for word

Mugs, this is my favorite Don Williams song. I used to hear Don's records sprinkled in with all the different types of music I heard on AM radio as a kid in the 1970s. What a wonderful musical education that was because we heard all styles of music and artists on one station! Don passed away in 2017, but I finally had the privilege of seeing him in concert when he came to a local venue in 2015. I sat near Don in the second row near the end of the stage where he was seated, and he looked directly at me with a nod and a smile in approval when he apparently liked the sound of my voice during the audience sing-along verse of "You're My Best Friend". I'll always cherish that moment fondly.

Thank you for giving this a listen. His voice made a lot of babies in the 70s. I was one of them.

Don’s delivery is always simple & smooth. I could listen to him all day long. My favorites are Lord I hope this day is good. The mandolin is awesome. Living on Tulsa Time is just upbeat and feels good.

I love your expression of a complete song working in harmony. You don't just listen to music, you hear it.

These songs make me remember the girls I loved who didn't love me just the same. I miss them each in their own way.

Such a low masculine and dreamy voice that Don Williams has. I have loved his singing since I was a little girl. I think the low voices are just soothing and makes the lyrics so clear and easy to take in. I have always thought that songs where you can't even understand the words was a waste of time. LOL Don Williams was good without any added bells, whistles or excitement. He just opens his mouth and sings.

You need to listen to "I Believe in You" and "Good Ole' Boys Like Me". Those are his two most popular songs, and both are great songs.

You must discover the great Merle Haggard! Master is all, songwriting, guitarist but his Voice!! I would recommend just for you, Merle’s love song to Dolly Parton. Written in the middle of the night, then Merle called Dolly to sing it to her. Dolly was married so, Merle’s love would never be returned: “Always Wanting You”

Don is an epic artist and songwriter. He’s been the inspiration and mentor to so many country artists. One of his most memorable song and heavily covered song is “Amanda” … an interesting journey for you: Don Williams - Amanda Waylon Jennings - Amanda Chris and Morgane Stapleton - Amanda

I'm not sure about this singers but once upon a time, back in the 1950's, there were bands in studios that all their purpose was to listen to the singers and the bands would learn to play the tunes on the fly. Glenn Campbell started this way. All he did at first was sit in a studio waiting for a singer to come in and he would play his guitar , on the fly, to the singers song. One day, he started singing and someone said...That boy needs to be a singer, not just a studio guitarist. The studios paid the musicians by the song.

Sorry, but can’t watch you. Too frustrating. You pause waaaaay too much. Best to pause just once, and then give full reaction.
