I have to say that I was totally fascinated watching this. When these trunks and branches fuse and the tree is styled is will be a great bonsai. An excellent video Kennet. Thanks.

Nice video, made me make decisions on mine... 😉 They are a bit finicky, those nursery stock mugo's. Small steps is what I am trying. Slowly replacing soil, like you. First repot I did, I removed like 25/35% of the potting soil and roots and replaced the rest with good draining medium (akadama and kiryu). Ah well, my experimenting... 😂 2 years in, seems to be working. (also a bit thanks to Xavier, he gave me a bunch of good pointers)

@@KennetDeBondt I tried to fuse a smaller couple of mugo seedlings- no joy yet after 10 mths, but I think it might be a slow process, and you are definitely the fusion expert!
