The amount of people here who didn’t watch the show is utterly hilarious to me. It’s absurd about how so many people here jump to conclusions about how Baki portrays and treats Ali. For those people going out and spitting about how this show “disrespects” Ali, I need you to watch the show for yourself. Ali is praised constantly throughout the show and his appearances are always hyped up everytime he appears. One such example is during the massacre between Baki and Ali Jr where Muhammad interrupted the fight by giving Baki a hard uppercut. The second Ali appeared the whole audience was hyped up for his performance. If that isn’t respectful portrayal idk what is. Also Dually note that Yujiro, the World’s Strongest Creature, respects Ali A LOT. That’s something you don’t see everyday within the Baki universe. I’m pretty sure getting hyped up by the public every time you appear + gaining the respect of the World’s Strongest Creature is A LOT of respect. All of the drooling and lack of stamina Ali has is an accurate representation of his Parkinson’s. The fact that he can still FIGHT in this show actually respects him even more since he couldn’t fight for crap when his Parkinson’s worsened.
