@@Bob53019 no, they killed the storyline because while they taped on tuesday a terror event happened in England on the day of air Thursday and that coincided with Hassan having 6 masked men in military gear lay waste to taker in a terror fashion. Please use common sense before spouting off nonsense, The Great Satan of NYC was attacked in 2001, this event happened in 2005.

It would have been glorious. Hassan would have (not could have) paved the way for others (non-cookie cutter generic wrestlers). I had 3 WWE tryouts as a Chinese wrestler prior to 2010. His push would have been a God send and would have ushered in a 2nd age of Attitude Era instead of the PG era. I was presented as Chinese but am also Japanese/Hawaiian and wrestled Yuji Nagata when I was 23. Least Jey Uso still uses the neckbreaker I made in 1998. KZbin Best Neckbreaker in Wrestling History.

exactly I was like 25 at the time and I had been serving. The whole mimicking a beheading thing and masked men was not a great idea on Vince and the writers part. Idk if they told him to do his own thing or they recommended it but that was not a good move. Especially in the mid 2000's since that's when that kind of bs was at epic proportions over in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was great for ratings and TV but a really bad call. In fact that particular segment could have had everything but that moment and he would have likely been fine. I'm not some crazy patriotic person but I still was serving during that whole period and it was disturbing, Despite the whole suspended disbelief thing. I'm definitely not the sensitive or overly emotional type, but that even triggered me.

Unfortunately no. It was a huge storyline they had to drop as it was the wrong tone with regards to real life terrorist attacks. You suddenly can't "make nice" with the storyline. As for coming back, the crowd would be like "Muhammed Hassan, why you under a different name, we know it's you!"
@craigshannon60113 ай бұрын
@@philwill0123 Not if he went away to somewhere like TNA under his real name maybe for a while, Then return to WWE, I feel most fans knew it was just a character anyway. They should have just cut the angle from the end of the Smackdown after the London attacks in July 2005. Just run anything else and eat the segment. Could have just waited a week or two and resume his character slightly toned down for a bit.
