Islam is the only religion which allows divorce, infact there is a whole chapter in the Quran named “Divorce,” the current practices of divorce generally is far from the correct method ordained by God in the Quran. This lecture looks into the prerequisites of divorce mentioned in the Quran for both a man when he is giving a divorce, and a woman when she is taking a divorce, as both men and women have been given this option by God in the Quran. This lecture should be watched in conjunction with the lectures What Al-Quran says about Nikah / Marriage and also What Al-Quran says about Husband-and-Wife Relationship.

There are two scenarios, either the husband gives divorce to his wife or the wife seeks divorce from her husband. When a husband gives divorce to the wife they can remarry thewife after divorce (completion of duration), if both mutually agree. (no need for halala) Other case where a wife seeks a divorce can't remarry the same husband(whom she divorced) until after she marries to another man. (halala) Only when a wife seeks divorce the rule of halala will apply. Not when husband give divorce to his wife. There's a misconcept that in both cases halala will apply. Halala will only apply when wife seeks divorce.

If the husband gives divorce and after the period of counting (iddat), he wants to reconcile with her then he can marry her again if the woman wills. If the wife takes divorce to marry someone else, she will live with him normally and after finds that this person is not right, then she can take divorce from him and marry the former husband. This is Halala.

Al-Bakr ayat 229 is clearly about "TWO" divorces along with a right to ask for divorce for the wife. Ayat 230 then brings in the "THIRD" divorce and Halala concept. Mr. Sheikh is forcing the right of Khula in ayat 229 (@13:45 minutes ) to ayat 230 which is misleading. @14:20 his sentence is extremely judgemental where he is saying that his wife only asks for khula when she is interested in another man. This is a completely botched-up explanation on this sensitive topic.

حلالہ کی جنگلی رسم کا قرآن میں ذکر ہی نہیں!! جب بیوی اپنے شوہر کو طلاق دینے کا ارادہ کرتی ہے تو یہ اس بات کی طرف اشارہ کرتا ہے کہ اس کے ذہن میں کوئی دوسرا مرد ہے۔ ایسی صورت میں اللہ اسے کہہ رہا ہے کہ وہ دوسرے شوہر (حلالہ نہیں) کے ساتھ عوامی اقرار کے ساتھ شادی کرے۔ اگر وہ پہلے شوہر کے پاس واپس آنا چاہتی ہے تو اسے اپنے دوسرے شوہر سے طلاق لے کر پہلے شوہر سے دوبارہ نکاح کرنا ہوگا۔ اللہ ہمارا خالق ہے اور ہماری نفسیات کو جانتا ہے۔ سبحان اللہ!

قرآن میں کس طرح طلاق ہے وہ زیادہ تر معاشرے میں معلوم نہیں ہے ہمیں اپنے اپنے اسکول آف تھاٹ کے مطابق طلاق کا معلوم ہے مگر قرآن کیا کہتا ہے طلاق کے بارے میں یہ زیادہ تر نہیں معلوم آیت کے مطابق طلاق مرد دیتا ہے اور عورت جب طلاق لیتی ہے تب بھی طلاق مرد ہی دیتا ہے ۔بیوی طلاق کیسے لیتی ہے جسے معاشرے میں حلالہ کہتےہیں طلاق دومرتبہ ہے جو آپ دے چکیں وہ واپس نہیں لے سکتے اور اگر عورت طلاق لے رہی ہے تو وہ فدیہ دے گی یعنی کچھ چھوڑے گی جو کچھ ان کے شوہر نے دیاہے ۔عورت نے طلاق لی ہوئ ہے اور وہ فدیہ دے رہی ہے تو وہ اپنے پہلے خاوند سے دوبارہ شادی نہیں کرسکتی جب تک نارمل طریقے سے کسی دوسرے سے شادی کرے اور پراپر اس کے ساتھ زندگی گزارے لیکن عرصہ بعد اس کو معلوم ہو کہ پہلا شوہر صحیح تھا تو وہ اس شوہر سے طلاق لے کر پہلے والے سے شادی کرسکتی ہے ۔معاشرے میں اسے حلالہ کا نام دیا جاتا ہے جبکہ قرآن میں حلالہ کا نام نہیں ہے طلاق کا حکم ہے وہ دونوں صورتوں میں مرد ہی دے گا چاہے مرد دے رہا ہو یا عورت کے رہی ہو
