Check air filter for better ride ! !! And for cold start i have an advice !! When your vehicle start in first crank switch it off and then start and switch off do it 2/3 times the engine voice will vanish !! Try this it will work for sure This will save your engine .

Look at his old overlanding videos with thar , he face many issues with thar compare to Gurkha, thar was even not able to start at -17° celcius, but atleast gurkha is able to start at -30° celcius at 1st crank , Thar was even facing DPF issue , as it used to get clogged so often in this type of journeys but Gurkha has no DPF issues as it has no DPF !!! And bhai choti moti issues har gaddi mein aati hein, even I have face such type of issues in my ISUZU in such extreme cold weather, so what do you expect from a machine ?? Its a machine it will show some small issues in such hardcore journey's

Baaki aapki shraddha Agr Gurkha pe h to Jai Gurkhali at least Gurkha regiment to incomparable h. Aur DCV baba ne dono me differentiate kar rakkha h already and Force Gurkha ko more problematic bataya h soooo 👍🏻

I went to Zozila in 2014, at that time it was full of slush with no road. Truck tyres create tyre creators which use to hit chambers if ground clearance was not adequate. It was one of most dangerous and notorious pass back then. It was scary back then as risk of trucks sliding was always there. Looking at the current status road has become a lot better.

Yellow engine light is just warning that tell that you can drive car but keep a watch on performance. Usually many times when engine feels underpower they give yellow engine light. In mountain areas it is normal. Matter of concern if engine light is red which indicate that there is some serious issue.

Back in the 1980s ( in my 20s) I did regular trips between Jullundur and Leh in a Leyland Tusker. I also did vacation trips on motorcycle ( Yezdi, Rajdoot Yamaha 350 ) and car ( converted Ambassador with Mercedes 240 D engine)............Jull Leh Manali Jullundur Looking at this video it seems nothing has changed since then.

I too have gurkha bs 3 for 7+yrs now....n usme i think 6 saal se edc ka indication hai ..... company walo ne bola tha koi major issue nai hai...but isko remove krne ke liye engine khulega .....so agr dobara aaye to plz let us know ki wat it stands for and how it can be removed!!

EDC light is on due to lack of oxygen intake .. it’s common in the new vehicle models … had the same issue in Feb this year at Zojila pass and some parts of Leh

EDC light could've been due to a little kachra in the fuel injection ........... a tiny grain that caused the warning to activate, and then once it cleared, the warning went off. Not too different from when there is a little kachra in a carb.
