I sincerely thank Amit Kumar and everybody who took initiatives to let us experience this gem. After a long time I got those familiar goosebumps. I relived that feeling of enthrallment. I used to run through a gamut of emotions whenever I heard a Kishore Kumar song for the first time. And if the music director was Pancham and lyricist was Gulzar, then there was added fervor. For some of his songs, even after decades, I can still recall when I heard a Kishore Kumar rendition for the first time. This song is another classic lounge music weaved by Pancham, Gulzar and Kishore Kumar. One has to listen first few times and allow it to sink in. Then it starts reverberating in subconscious mind throughout the day while performing routine tasks. The next phase starts with a deep dive into the song to soothe the nerves with the finer nuances of voice, lyrics and music. This goes on and on till the song eventually engulfs the soul.
