I love my Mujjo leather case for my iPhone 16 Pro. If anyone was a fan of the Apple Leather Cases when they were of “higher quality”, you won’t regret getting this case either. Mujjo takes it up a notch with their full grain leather and Japanese microfiber lining inside (it really does feel like [thick] suede like you mentioned). I’ve dropped/scratched my phone with the Mujjo case on a number of occasions and the leather has “healed” fantastically, which is a feature I really like about leather cases. Great review, and I’m glad a tech reviewer is out here recognizing the brand.

A great point regarding when Apple was making “higher quality” leather cases. MUJJO leather cases were the closest to that quality years ago and continue it today. So for anyone that misses Apple leather cases, MUJJO is an easy recommendation !
