Lee Dam's way of eating looks so forced, it would make you focus on her face than the food. Kim Bok Joo looks so natural when she's eating and makes you focus on the food instead. Looking at her eat makes you ask, "What is she eating? I want some too." I think Kim Bok Joo's is better.

I think it's in their character. Both love eating but to portray the whole pov, they made Lee Dam eat that way. I think it was meant to show that it was satisfying and arousing in her case. Suppose how difficult it is to portray to look sexy while eating like a pig. But Kim Bok Joo's character and story both are different. Their relationship is more of a stable friendship that develops into an understanding of each other and then a relationship.

To have some context about Lee Dam's situation: The first two scene happened after Lee Dam learned she can not eat fried chicken anymore (for the last time) because she had the a pearl of Gumiho stuck in her stomach and eating fried chicken might get her sick and kill her. So Lee Dam wanted to enjoy as much as possible before the food gets banned. Fried chikcen is her fave food ! She can't resist ! The last scene eating noodle on the bench with the second lead: It was her intention to eat that noisy and all clumsy because the dude is a Year of Tiger and it is bad for a gumiho to approach a tiger. If Lee Dam gets too near to the guy, she might get in danger because of the pearl. Moreover, this scene was when the guy invited Lee Dam to have dinner together (guy likes the girl), Lee Dam tries as much as possible to "digust" the guy so he can leave her and stop liking her. 😂😂 Which is why she eats the noodle agressively

Well I'm not on board the Lee Dam dislike in these comments, I love her eating. She actually inspired me to eat chicken the same way, I used to eat it superficially and waste a lot of the chicken but after seeing her eat I realized I was eating chicken wrong my whole life. Bok Joo obviously eats professionally for training so she knows the ins and outs of cuisine and making the most out of every meal, very inspiring too.

As someone who has watched both of the dramas, I think Bok Joo is better. Although Dam was good too, I prefer Bok Joo. She was way more natural and it looked so yummy watching her eat. As for Dam, she was more forced but it was satisfying to watch her eat. The reason why Dam was eating so aggressively is because she thought she was gonna pass away in 1 year (if you watch the drama, you’ll understand why and how.) so she wanted to eat so so so much before she passes so she doesn’t have any regrets. Pretty good reason 🤣. Overall, I prefer Bok Joo but both of them were good. At times in the drama, Dam’s character made me cringe a bit, but never once did that happen with Bok Joo. But, both of the dramas are extremely good and I recommend both of them to every drama fan! SWAAAAAG!
