I think that small bamboo shoots are called laiwa in manipuri language. We eat eromba with potatoes (thinly slices and squeeze out the juice after boiled and mixed with chilles and dry fish or fermanted fish and later mashed with the potatoes....) well as kanghou (thinly slice and stir fry with small cube potato or with chickpeas or bamboo shoots alone) . Love watching your healthy mukbang videos, keep blogging and stay healthy.

I would like to share one of the poumai style of pork recipe by my poumai friend. Marinate the chicken with some turmeric, red chilli powder and morok(bhoot julokia) then give it few(3-4) whistles untill the oil comes out of the pork.(no use of water) then put some green onions, crushed ginger and garlic (tomato, optional) with some salt and cook it for around 15-20 mints with removing the excess oil. Enjoy with rice and ametpa.
