​@@anakindonissa what you mean plotstory sucked? the story followed the animated version, if you think the live action sucked, then you must also have hated the animated version. the real mulan story is nothing like the disney version. but other than that i thought the plotstory was good enough, at least it stayed loyal to the animation which made it nostalgic. practically every scene was just like the animation, just only without the songs. and the actors were great as expected. especially Yifei was charismatic and her interaction with Gong Li (the witch) was surprisingly good.

@@BingDwenDwen i actually loved the animation movie. I felt something was missing. Some scenes was missing. Around the ending on finding the emperor ... i missed that chaotic scene with people around.. i think they cut alot of scenes out. I dont mind that there were no songs. But i was missing something. Plus Why did the guy that she had a romantic thing came not to greet her & her family. Yess the warrior aspect and independence of Mulan was there but i missed the bond, connection and teamwork action that she had with li shang (in this case hong hiu). That was one of the things that made the animation great. It brought something to fight for. she found not only herself thats its okay being strong, brave, loyal as a woman & warrior. But she learnt also the reason to protect and to love. And find her match. I guess i am missing the Mulan & Li Shang connection. And i missed scenes how she bonds with her main male soldier best friends. She seemed still a bitt closed off.

​@@anakindonissa I don't know what you had been watching but all of the "bromance" or love interest was also there in the live action version, with Honghui. Actually historically Honghui was indeed Mulans love interest. At the end when Mulan said goodbye to Honghui, they obviously liked each other, so the chemistry was there. Also Mulans crew obviously bonded with Mulan while they were training, and they came to respect Mulan for being so skilled. Don't remember the fireplace scene, where all her crew were scared for the battle, and Mulan comforted them by saying she got their backs and encourage them that they will win the battle, if that is not considered bonding,then I don't know what you can consider is.

It's good but people will still compare no matter what well because its a *REMAKE* so they expect it to live like the original and do well, but comparison wise nah, but self wise...still meh

I dont understand why a lot still compares it to the original one. But in my opinion it was well made and close to reality. Than having a dragon and a cricket with you all the time, having a panel of souls, getting in love with your commander and fighting a powerful enemy without any skills you will surely die in a second. No offence meant, but I find the movie good. Except for the phoenix 😅.
