Directed by Niki Caro, 'Mulan' follows the story of a young woman who becomes one of the greatest warriors in China out of love for her family and her country. When the Emperor issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father. 'Mulan' features an international cast that includes Yifei Liu as Mulan; Donnie Yen as Commander Tung; Tzi Ma as Zhou, Jason Scott Lee as Böri Khan; Yoson An as Honghui; Ron Yuan as Sergeant Qiang; with Gong Li as Xianniang, and Jet Li as the Emperor.

I just watched Mulan, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a straight forward 'Disney with a message', but really well executed! Stunning action scenes and charismatic characters. Yifei Liu as Mulan definitely wins my vote.

An excellent movie--thoroughly enjoyed it. This movie teaches the importance of family, truth, honor, loyalty and of course pride in being a girl/woman. This is a great movie for every girl out there Disney is the best in conveying a great message and providing the public great entertainment. Great directorship and great cast!!! at least compared to the other remakes, this one isn't a shot by shot recreation of the original counterpart, it’s something different and makes the story less boring And honestly I don't mind if this Mulan is a ”Mary Sue” because that’s kinda the point of the character

Christian Salgado I have and I understand. she doesn’t learn to be strong like the original, she learns that her strength is being herself which isn’t as cool. she definitely struggles more emotionally than physically but I still really enjoyed it

It's different but did they really have to make her that ultra superpowered with all of that broken Qi? Ironic that in the video that she says "Mulan isn't a superhero, she's just an ordinary girl". Yeah an ordinary girl who was born just better than many others. I preferred the old Mulan since she used her wits instead of brute strength in those situations rather than just fight her way through it.
