Hi, congrats on adding this pretty bag to your collection. However, I just feel that you compared this bag to Chanel too much and a little unnecessarily. This bag has a different leather and ages differently so the way you kept comparing it to a Chanel flap made me felt bad for your Lily, anyway, just saying.

I am soon to be 50 and as a handbag lover, I am wanting a flap bag (only because I don't have one) in my collection. Being a casual person in general and working at a place where I don't want to be show off if you will, would you recommend this Lily bag over the Chanel jumbo? Thanks for your time. +Mary Lynda Hi Mary! Although you're right that the Lily is more casual, I don't think that it would replace a Flap in your heart. Have you looked into the YSL college of vintage Chanel XL hardware flaps? I have both in my collection and would consider those to be more comparable :) xx

Really loving the Mulberry Lily and trying to decide which size I prefer: normal or the medium. They both are gorgeous and I am so torn! Do you find that the chain strap on yours ever gets uncomfortable on your shoulder if you're wearing it out a while?

Elle I have a question about how you put all your handbags to use. I own quite a few nice bags, and feel kind of guilty because I only ever reach my jumbo. It's like I can't bring myself to use others, and when I do it's once every other month but I still love them. You have a larger collection than I do so I was wondering how you "cope" with this? (Hope my question makes sense, please let me know, thank you!)

Hi! I have a special purpose for each bag, and sometimes a preferred season to use it too. Usually I make a point to change my bag every 2-3 weeks, and I find that keeps them looking newer too :)

I have a lily in black calf leather which is more durable than goat leather and I am super happy about it every time I wear it. :) I have just two downsides though: the golden hardwear fades in the middle of each little ring - and this after 8 months. the second thing which annoyed me the most is that i had to take away the litte pouch with the lock from this bag because the leather of the border of the pouch strap touches the chain which is why the strap got damaged and is kind of ripped apart. :/ but anyway I dont regret buying this bag since it is very classy and not a lot of people are wearing this bag. :)

Hi, I love your videos but I have to disagree with you on this one Hun. Your lily is the NVT natural vegetable tan. The lily comes in different finishes and textures of leather including exotic leathers. I've two a calfskin in the shade burnt peach and a snake embossed leather in the shade English plum. Both very different beasts. My burnt peach is a very structured leather and the English plum is much more mailable. The English plum is soft but both my Lily's never loose their shape despite the fact that the English plum is older. Some can withstand slight rain whilst your NVT cannot but NVT gets better with age. Your NVT oak lily will patina whilst mine will not because it's a different leather. The oak does come across casual but the Black and gold does not, it's quite classy just like a Chanel can be. This bag is reminiscent of Chanel but not truly comparable being that it's oak NVT. However the same bag in Black, Midnight blue would look amazing on a night out. It doesn't age you like a classic flap tends to. I mean the classic flap is kind of a Granny bag. Personally, it's a better option than a classic flap for many people. Although, I'd have a reissue and a Mulberry lily before a classic flap.
