In real time while we are working, will we already have the Mule secure configuration module? or do we have to do this while we are working real time also? Also Mulesoft property editor also needs to be downloaded while working realtime?

Hi Varun, Its crystal clear ..No questions on your explanations.. I would like to know, Is that possible to change .yaml / .Properties files at run time? Ex: After releasing to LIVE, incase database team changes password due to security reasons, how to update password in LIVE without redeploying the code? (on premises and Cloud)

Helpful Video, but this is not the way we encrypt the values for yaml properties. The method you showed works only for .properties. Please do an video for encryption of .yaml properties.

Hi Varun, I was trying a file level encryption using the jar file which generates a secure.yaml. Configured that in Secure Config properties in Global config. Then when i put {secure:: keys....) in DB Connector it fails :-( test connection. Process is pretty much similar. Can you please share how would you do DB Connector all properties(host/port/user/password/instance) AES CBC .

BTW Mule properties editor was fantastic and much easier than going through the jar file.... route..
@mitzk8464 жыл бұрын
BTW it works now . Debugged and found some of the values were not within "" and port value was supposed to be within "". So basically best practice would be to put all YAML values enclosed within "". Appreciate the idea of the properties editor . I think that is a good way to do string based encrypt and also if doing file based can compare.
